random-lil-azn — Why I've Been So Busy...

Description I thought it'd be a good idea to let you guys know why I haven't been able to update as much this year. This is my entire pile of work, note books and textbooks (plus my calculator). I've had to revise through basically all of this pile the last couple of weeks for my final year exams which are over now (yay!!). The only thing missing from this pile are the two novels "Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde" and "The Picture of Dorian Gray" (about the same size as the top two novels) which were for my 2000 word independent study essay.

Yeah... Or close to over..
It's Thanksgiving break and I still have hw -.-
I should probably try to finish it...
Do you still have a lot to during the holiday?

Oh you poor thing
We don't celebrate Thanksgiving in Australia so there's no holiday for us
And final year exams are held at the beginning of November so I'm free!!! No more homework 4 eva! But I gotta prepare some stuff for a university (college I believe you call it?) interview coming up soon.

Whoa! That's a new thing I learned. Is it all of Australia that does not celebrate Thanksgiving?

So after these exams, do you still have any more school? (excluding university/college). This is all new information to me, I thought it was the same everywhere..
That's nice! No homework forever, but is there homework in the university?
hmm.. I kind of confused myself.

Can you explain to me when you have time? You do not have to answer this right away.

I have a cold and it's getting worse so I feel as if I'm not making any sense. I'm sorry -.- My head hurts.. I'm going to sleep... Talk to you later!

random-lil-azn In reply to hatshere [2011-12-01 08:29:59 +0000 UTC]

Sorry for the late reply , one of the universities I applied to suddenly called me up for an interview so I've been interstate these last couple of days. No internet access ><

I guess some people do celebrate Thanksgiving in Australia but the majority don't and we don't get a public holiday for it.

Nope! After finals there's no more school. Is it different in America? I thought it was the same everywhere too? Over here we're pretty lucky. My brother's in the year under me and he has his exams like two weeks before semester ends and then he has no more school too so I had the house to myself for bout a week ah bliss...

Yeah it's not no homework forever but I have three months of holiday before uni starts so it works out to be the same XD University does have assignments and lectures and stuff but one of the brochures says that you only actually spend about 48 hours a week on campus so it's waay more laid back than school.

Oh you poor thing! Sick on Thanksgiving?! That must suck alot. Get better soon ^________^

hatshere In reply to random-lil-azn [2011-12-01 23:22:28 +0000 UTC]

It's alright I hope you did well on that interview ^-^

After high school finals there is a choice of going into a university or not, but there's no more after 12th grade. I count universities as schools because of the assignments. My classmates also count them as school, but I'm not sure how others think it is.. That's nice to have some peace. Sounds so relaxing!

I didn't know it would be more laid back than school. My aunts told me that it's tough. (their career is in the medical field)

I am close to better now. I can't breathe through my nose and the mucus that built up in my throat is making me have trouble breathing a little.. but it's all good Thank you!

random-lil-azn In reply to hatshere [2011-12-04 12:00:41 +0000 UTC]

Thanks

So college is counted as different to university? I'm pretty sure the workload is hardcore but the amount of time that you actually have to spend attending lectures and workshops is less than what you would have to at school. I've gotten alot of mixed responses as to how hard uni is but I think the ones that say it's easy are probably taking art degrees or something like that. Earlier this year we had some med kids come into our biology class ad they told us that they cover the entire year 12 course in something like two weeks D:

I know this sounds like a stupid question but what's a freshman? I've heard the term used in like movies and TV shows and stuff but I don't actually know what it means we don't use that term here :S

Do you get any asian shows or stuff on free TV over there? Cuz in Australia we have a program on Sunday mornings showing kpop MVs on TV.

Get lots of rest

np ^-^

hmm.. I thought college and university is the same.. I dont' know much about it I guess, but it's true, the work is harder, but it's less than going to school. whoa! That's crazy!! All that information for a whole year in 2 weeks O.O

Freshman are first years. Like in high school the 9th graders are considered freshman because they are learning the first year studies. Same as college, anyone going into the first year studies for that would be considered a freshman I guess.. It's mainly the class they are in. I knew a boy who was in 9th grade year (freshman) with us, but he took 11th grade and 12th grade math. but a majority of his classes are in our year so he is a freshman. I guess learning somethign new form another country is pretty fun ^-^

We don't get anything Asian here unless we convert over our tv to only asian stuff (Vietnamese). All our stuff is english/American and possibly some spanish??
I don't know anyone who has that program. I wish we also had it though. Anything asian we want to watch is online. Lucky~

Thanks I will try to keep that in mind as I study for more test and doing my homework.

Ah thanks for clearing that up Over here high school starts at year 10. I have a friend in year 11 who took first level year 12 maths, specialist maths (which is even harder) and year 12 music as well as normal year 11 subjects so he was counted as a year 12. Haha yeah it is

Ah yeah some of my friends have chinese or vietnamese cable. I think you can listen to the radio program overseas here [link]

No I haven't but I'll give it a try at some point XD Thanks for the link ^___^

Np Whoa. That is definitely something new I learned today. Hmm I have never heard of that kind of situation before. I wonder if it counts on how many classes in the upper grade level one can have.

This site looks pretty cool. I'm trying to learn how to use it (as in just looking around)..This site confuses me... The cool thing is that there is a downloadable app for itunes.. I don't have an ipod or anything and I don't want to download anything else b/c this laptop has alot of downloaded stuff in already.. Er.. How do I use this website? Thanks for the link ^-^

It's probably something like half or more but maybe it differs between schools

There's a play button somewhere to listen on the site but it's probably easier to use the widget [link] cuz you can see the titles of the song playing and stuff.

Oh, and you still have to go to school? How long til the holidays?

Oh well, maybe it might work at school?

Wait you start school so early?! Is it something like you don't finish your grade this year but continue on in the next year for another term? (sorry if I'm confusing ><)

hatshere In reply to random-lil-azn [2011-12-11 07:06:05 +0000 UTC]

I don't have any computer classes anymore so I do not go into the computer lab..
Hmm.. That is kinda confusing.. I'll try to explain, though I'm not exactly sure what you're asking but it's okay: For high school, (In Michgan (U.S.), we start school right after labor day in September, though the other states, I believe start earlier maybe in August.) We start our first er.. semester (there are 2) [I don't know what a term would be.. We don't use that so I get confused]. We have breaks such as 3 days for Thanksgiving and Two weeks for Christmas (I found out I have winter break right after 16.) We come back to school around the beginning of January and have another break around Spring Break. I forgot to mention, we also have some days off for stuff like election day, Luther King Jr. day, etc., and some days for teachers to catch up on their grading and planning. School ends in the middle or beginning almost middle of June. And that's a school year for us.

My school is different from the schools in my district. We have joined the International Baccalaureate Program. And have 8 classes in all. We switch to 4 classes a day from 8:20am to 3:25pm with a 50 minute lunch and open campus. 4 classes one day the other 4 the next. It's kinda fun and keeps me busy, but doesn't give me much time for enjoyment like manga and anime and a lot of origami anymore because I'm focusing on piano. I heard that it's tougher in other countries. How is your school? I would like to know I love learning new things ^-^ I feel like I'm the one confusing now.. sorry about that..

Grr sorry, I replied a couple of days earlier but was using a dodgy wifi connection and it doesn't seem like the message went through >_______<

Thanks, you answered my question Over here, our school year is one literal year. We start in February and finish at the end of November. A term is half a semester so we get a one week holiday between terms one and two, a four week holiday between semesters, another one week holidat between terms three and four and then six weeks for Christmas (plus public holidays of course). It must suck having to go to school in the cold. We don't get a technical winter here cuz I live in the tropics so I've never seen real snow before

Wow you're taking the IB course?! There's one school here who offers it but the people I've known who have taken it say it's really hard. You have to do heaps more than if you were at a normal government run school so my pile of books must look like nothing compared to yours haha. At my school we start school at 8:00 and finish at 2:30 with a 20 minute recess and a 45 minute lunch. In years 10 and 11 we take six subjects with math and english being compulsory. In year 12, we must take a minimum of 4 subjects with the other two subjects being study lines where you're supposed to do free study but most ppls just bludge and go to maccas XD.

You've finished school now right? Did you do well in your exams? Got my final score today so it was pretty exciting! I did a little bit better than I expected so now it's fingers crossed for the uni I want to go to to accept me

hatshere In reply to random-lil-azn [2011-12-30 00:42:14 +0000 UTC]

It's okay about you not replying. You have a good excuse xD
I'm sorry I haven't replyed for 8 days. Part of it was because I was busy at mmy cousin's place, but the biggest reason would be that I became depressed and had no more motivation to do anything. It happend from time to time, but I'm my normal self again.. I think.. ^-^

Whoa. One year That sounds kinda hard you know. I'd rather have a 3 month break than a one month after a semester. And you get 6 weeks for Christmas? That sounds very nice We hve only 2 weeks for that. I'm fine with the cold and I am pretty used to the tips of my hair and nostril hair freezing up, but for some reason, this year is different. We usually have a white Christmas, filled with snow throughout the weeks of Demecember+ and fun shoveling snow and playing in it with my family. I really did not want a green Christmas. No fun at all. The only good thing about no snow right now is no ice on the roads, which results in less accidents. I wonder if you'd like the snow. It's soft and the flakes are very pretty. Snowball fights are fun, but it's very very cold and wet so it could be uncomfortable.

The Ib course is easy going so far, I was used to Ap because of how fast it goes, but Ib takes things slowly, but in more detail and it overwhelms me immensely. I already cried once because of it, but it's my fault that I'm a slacker so I basically pulled this one on me myself. My class is not prepared for this program at all because it's the first time it is done at my school. The teachers are trying to help too, they have to put up with all the grading so it's been hard on them too. The grading takes longer and we have a big class compared to other Ib schools.. I think.. I still like it better than the other schools in my district though because the other schools most likely are too loud and have later classwork. We didn't get any extra points for taking Ap and honors. Your pile of books still seems a lot.
Wow, you guys get out early and have a long lunchtime and recess. You guys get recess? What do you when you have recess? Our school does not have that but we have an open campus. I used to have recess, but that was at my old school back in elementry and middle school. It makes sense that you get out earlier because of less subjects. It sounds reallllly nice. So how many subjects did you take in year 12? And did you have to do a paper for university to accept you? Are you good at writing? Sorry, the last question popped up in my head because we do a lot of writing for the Ib program. I'm jealous of the people who write well because then they would most likely do better in the Ib program than I would.
I feel sorry about the year 12 at my school though. The Ib program is messing with their lives. The courses they could've had were removed and they schedules are screwed up. For example, some may come in at 12pm on a certain day until 3:30pm.

Well I am on winter break right now. On Tuesday I'm back in school. We did not have our exams yet. My midterms are around the end on January. And I have a world Literature paper due when I get back from break (which I haven't even started yet). I should probably start on my homework now. I often dislike myself for being a slacker and it's fustrating how hard it is to get rid of the habit of procrastinating. My Ib exams are in my year 12, I am year 11 right now. I really hope that university will accept you!! You applied to more than one right? Well, they better accept you That's awesome! How long did you study to get a good score?
Good luck! And I'm sorry I wasn't on deviantart to reply. Do you have a New Years resolution yet? This is a LONG message o.O I am sorry I write too much.

random-lil-azn In reply to hatshere [2012-01-01 08:55:19 +0000 UTC]

No biggie, it (was) Christmas

I find it better to have a shorter break between the semesters cuz my memory's pretty bad and not studying for too long is bad. Specially since second semester is the most important one. The people down south actually have a shorter break between the semesters (two weeks) but they get two weeks holiday halfway through a semester while we up north only get one week so it all works out.

Gee that must kinda suck. The weather's been weird all year. Over here we only have two seasons; wet and dry. Wet's kinda like summer. It's really hot and humid and it rains alot. Dry's like autumn. It gets cold (minimum 17 or 18 degrees which is probably nothing compared to winter lol). This year we had the longest and coldest dry season and we're expected to get a tonne of cyclones this year. One almost formed last week but it went away. Do you get tornadoes over there? Is it hard to make a snowball? I tried to make one with sand once but it doesn't really work as well XD

They started this new program at my school last year for year 10's and 11's called the centre of excellence. My brother's doing it and I think it's like the equivalent of an AP. My brother did it last year (2011) and they do alot of high level maths and science bordering on year 12 stuff. Later classwork as in you get big assignments late in the year or something?

Towards the end of the year recess is mainly for freaking out and finishing assignments last minute haha. How can you not have a recess? I'd starve to death before lunch comes around D: Or are you allowed to eat in class? We're not supposed to eat in class but some teachers let you go. Oh and what's an open campus?

I took four subjects, English Studies (highest level english), Maths Studies (higher level math), Chemistry and Biology. One of my friends was crazy and took six. Usually you're only allowed to take five but because she took English as a Second Language (ESL) her teacher made her take vietnamese outside of school. ESL is a bit of a joke really. Alot of people who take ESL can speak completely fluent english and in most cases can barely speak a second language. The only requirement is that you don't look white and you can get in. Most teachers don't bother making sure that their students actually speak a second language but my friend was unlucky. It's way easier than normal English Studies but it's taken at about the same level by universities. For our final exam which is worth 30% of our grade, us English studies kids had to write two full essays and a critical reading (where you analyse a piece of writing and answer questions about it) in three hours. Not to mention that we're not allowed to take any content in so we have to memorise all the quotes ourselves. In ESL, all they had to do was listen to a tape and answer some questions and write a letter which is half the length of the essays we're supposed to write.
Over here the final score is called an ATAR and it's out of 99.95 points (why it's not out of 100 I will never comprehend). An A is 90+, a B is 80+ and so forth. You get bonus points if take a language or if you do the highest level maths (specialist maths) which you only really take if you want to be an engineer or if you're insane. Specialist maths is really hard.
It's really ridiculous, I mean there's people who do a language they can already speak as well as taking other easy subjects and they get top marks and get all the recognition but there's people who work even harder, taking more difficult subjects and they get lower scores it's just so frustrating >___<.

I applied to a couple of different unis. I applied for two courses, oral health and the bachelor of dental surgery at two different universities. For oral health they only required a face to face interview which I did at the end of November. For the bachelor of dental surgery, I had to fill out a form and answer four questions about half a page per question. Usually you need a really high score (above 92) to be accepted into dentistry but with this university I applied to, they look at your application before your score so if you get a score under 90 (like me) but you did really well on the written application, there's a chance that you can get in which I'm really hoping on.

Don't beat up yourself too much. School's hard and even more so for you cuz you're taking IB. It's ok to freak out a bit but remember, after year 12 you're done! So you only have to endure it for a bit longer. Actually, I asian failed and got under 90 lol. But I know I worked really hard for this and it's over now so I'm pretty chilled about it. As long as you work hard you'll be ok! It's hard to stop procrastinating when you lose motivation so set yourself little goals. Like if you're writing an essay, plan it out first and then take a little break; write the introduction and take a little break so on and so forth. With english remember to always embed quotes in your writing. I can send an essay or something as an example if you need which should be ok cuz I doubt we'd have done the same coursework.

It's no biggie ^____^ Yeah for the month of holiday that I have left I'm going to try to exercise more... I think lol. Did you have a good Christmas? I went on holiday to Malaysia the first couple of weeks of December so I got all my prezzies myself over there so nothing under the tree on the day I'm really annoyed with myself though. I found this one shop selling all this kpop merchandise but I didn't get anything. I saw this girl just randomly picking up anything with SuJu's Leeteuk on it and had this basket with like a whole heap of folders and badges and stuff and I thought to myself if I start I'll end up like that and just left. I got a 2PM tee though at a different shop as well as a couple of Kuroshitsuji folders so I'm pretty happy.

Lol sorry ranted a bit in this message

Anyway, HAPPY NEW YEAR!

Well I guess that's your preference ^-^ Do you think you like that better is because you are moer used to it? That is so in my case.

We had a white new years, but then it went away. We have lots of snow this week, more storms, but my school still doesn't close like most of the other schools. It gets so cold that when I walked to my friend's house, My fingers are stinging and my legs, butt, and thighs are super numb, if I slap it I won't feel a thing, my face is the same too. I wear my boots a lot so now that there's snow, I don't look as stupid at school. The roads are really bad, can't see the lines of where your car is supposed to be, stopping it right away will not work because the car will still be sliding so you have to stop extra early multiple times. Cars going up the hill next to my house can't make it and they also get stuck on the curb. Light snow doesn't pack very well to make snowballs. Sand doesn't pack so well into a snowball too.. I've never made a sand castle before, have you made one? Over here we get some tornaedoes, but I haven't actually been very close to one because I live in the city.

Whoa! That sounds hard!! That will totally help out in the future for jobs that have to do with that. Plus colleges might be impressed? Our school Ap and honors are mandatory, but it doesn't count as extra for gpa like those kids who get over 4.0 gpa.

We just don't have a recess, but a 50 minute lunchtime. Recess was mainly for playing outside back in elementry and maybe middle school. For high schoolers, our lunch starts at 1pm! So late! We can eat in some of our classes if our teachers let us, most of them let us, the strict ones don't. An open campus means that at lunch time, you can leave the building and go anywhere as long as you make it back in time. I don't think any of the other schools are like that. We can go out and get pizza, fast food, someone's house, anywhere as long as we get back in time. I know another school that has a double fence around the school so that noone can leave. but they are lucky, they have sports: tennis courts, swimming pool, more than 1 gym, ice skating rink. My school doesn't have sports for highschoolers so anyone playing sports have to go to another school to play for that team.

Wow! those higher level stuff are insane! You even took chemistry!! Chemistry is HARD. and I agree with the ESL being a joke if people are like that. Reminds me that I should start working on reading and writing for Vietnamese, I can only speak it And I can write and read spanish (lower level [3])... it's so messed up!
Your exams are way harder than ours! I'm amazed at how big the difference is. 99.5 is weird though, I am wondering why it is not out of 100% too. Our exams are 10% of our grades and because the teachers have to get them in the very same day, most are multiple choice, though there are those other teachers that make it really hard. It only matters if the grade is on the edge, if the grade is in the middle then it's a joke to most people. My gosh, I feel sorry about the people in your situation of exams. Specialist maths sounds like hard level mawth (for ib).
It is very fustrating when someone gets recognition for something lower and gets better marks while someone else is working in a harder class. It's really annoying. I bet the people that get a 4.0 in other schools will get into good colleges, then people with a 3.5 in my school won't. It's gets me kinda angry, We have harder courses than they do and we can easily get a 4.0 in other schools..
You guys can get 4-6 classes Wow! That's sounds nice, but then it would be harder right? We have 8 classes, so most of the teachers at my school have 7 (some have 4. If an opening comes up I'm gonna try some courses from college for free since highshoolers can have it free. I want to do anatomy and music theory, but there's no room in my schedule now and I'm not too crazy to have 9 classes. I hope I can take those courses during the summer then.

Ooh so you know what you want to do as a career? I really hope you are accepted! Face to face sounds so scary, and a written interview also sounds tough.. I'm going to most likely get accepted to the universities I chose without needing to do any of that becuase I don't know what to do yet. I don't know if I have to write a paper appication yet. I need scholarships. I should talk to my counselor about that but I don't know what to say to her about it..

Thanks! That sounds like a good tip. I can't wait till this is over with. I will have motivation and lose it. It's gonna be like a roller coaster. I don't even have an idea for a project to initiate yet, and I haven't done anything "global" yet either.

I'm going to start excercising again tomorrow. I feel sick today with headaches, throat problems, nose problems. I have to get in shape for the Valentine's dance in 3 weeks, hopefully I can have a flatter stomach, and no flab, plus a litte muscle by that time. I also have to learn how to wwalk in heels too. I don't have a date and most likely won't have one so I will hang out with my friends there. The theme is carnival (no casual wear though). I have this really cute dress that is a hand me down that will work perfect for this event! It "floral"-y, but it reminds me of water and carnival = water games. It's pastel blue and light (not flashy) yellow. Like a halter on the top, bottom: longer than the knees but still showing leg, back reaches the floor, white heels, silver long necklace that covers the chest area and silver bracelet. I'm gonna get my hair curled on the bottom and my friend is gonna put eyeshadow, eyeliner, curl my eyelashes, and put mascara on me since I don't know how to use makeup yet. I jsut hope that no one steps on the part of the dress that's on the ground. My mom says that she doesn't like me wearing makeup and a dress that is too revealing and my sister told me the makeup makes me look scary, my other sister told me I look like a clown-monster. Oh and my mom patted my stomach telling me it's big.. so I'm gonna work on becoming beautiful for that night ^-^

I had a pretty good christmas. For the break I mostly read books and spent time with my family. I got so many presents! That's so cool, you actually got to travel?! My parents won't let me out of the country for any field trips and stuff. At least you got 2pm tee and Kuroshitsuji folders That's awesome!.. That would probably happen to me with manga too, it's crazy how much stuff we'd want to buy and have with a very large interest. To stop that from happening, I think of how much money that would waste. It can work for you if you are cheap like me ^-^

It's okay about the ranting. I enjoyed it! No worries, I rant a lot! It's probably because I have no one else to talk to. My friends are busy a lot so I get lonely. I enjoy having conversations like this and learning about others plus what their environment and place is like. Plus a lot of people don't talk to me because they know I rant like this so they get bored of listening or reading it..

Thanks Happy new years! (late)

My friend got a new ipod, so she gave m her old one! YAY!! I finally have one (I have a CD player). I jsut can't add any songs or anything because my laptop is gonna be gone for over a week, and I can't install anything.

I understand if you reply late because of laziness of reading/replying to a long message, it's pretty normal. I won't be online for a few weeks. So I gotta go now.
Thanks for talking to me

Nah cuz after a long break my brain goes "OMG WORK ASDLJKH" and dies lol.

Oh wow that sounds horrible D: They should close school if it's that dangerous...
Yep, where I live is a coastal area. The beach is just a short walk from my house and my school is almost literally next to the sea cuz it's built on top of a cliff. Have you been to the beach?

I think it is but honestly, I doubt colleges really look at that cuz in the end, all they care about is your final score.

H-how do you manage that?! Do you have like an ultra huge brekkie or something? I think I'd be too hungry to concentrate much on work if the lunches were that late >__< Ah, for us we have a sorta open campus cuz people can leave as long as your parents have signed a permission form but most kids just sneak out anyway XD. Wow a double fence? Sounds more like a prison... but I guess all schools are in a way haha. Wow that's alot of facilities! All we have is a tennis court and gym. I went ice-skating once and boy, was it a painful experience >___< Got a couple of scrapes from falling too many times Are you a good skater?

It was TT_____TT The whole system's messed up... I know what you mean cuz I knew a couple of people who went through the IB program and ended up with a lower score than what they would achieve if they did the normal program and they couldn't get into the course of their choice.

Do you still have to do 8 classes in your final year? You get to try out college courses? Wow sounds like a good way to get experience!

Thanks ^____^ Are you going thinking of going into the medical line once you graduate? Don't forget, your counsellor is your best friend. I had no idea what to do and my counsellor really helped with all the scholarship stuff and which uni I'd best be able to get into with my predicted grade. Don't be afraid to ask them anything!

Lol I can barely walk in heels either! For my formal (erm I believe it's what you call homecoming?) I had short black and silver heels and one of my friends was debating whether or not to wear her 15cm high heels (that girl is shoe crazy I swear haha). I had a short dress, only a bit past my knees. It's turquoise green with a floral design at the top and spaghetti straps. IDK how to use makeup either. I recently bought eyeliner but I have no idea how to use it properly... yet . I'm terrified of long dresses cuz I know I probably step on the hem and trip/rip it. Haha clown-monster? I'm sure you'll look great on the night C:

Yeah flights to Asia are really cheap, especially Bali. Bali's really over-rated, it's not really a nice place but lots of people in my city go cuz the beer's dirt cheap XD. Me too! That's why I really regret not getting at least one thing... Oh well

Yeah me too! It's really interesting learning all this new stuff.

Woah you used to use a CD player? Did you get an iPod shuffle?

I don't mind if you reply late cuz you're busier with school and other commitments. ^_____^

Oh lol ^-^

I don't know why they didn't close that day. Maybe it's because it's not so so bad yet, it's just the beginning. I'm surprised there are no snow days for me yet. Global warming maybe?
Whoa! That sounds amazing! but is it scary if it's built on top of a cliff? Is it really high up? I have been to the beach before. Many different ones, it jsut takes about an hour or two to get there by car. I hate the manmade beaches though, it smells bad. And I have gone to beaches on my trip to Vietnam in elementry school.

Really? Well I guess that's true..but some might take it into consideration.

-.- I know it sucks a lot >.<

I eat suring class sometimes, but most of the time I am so hungry that I don't feel hungry. So sometimes it works that way too. I just have to make sure to eat, though it does suck when I have to eat the ssame disgusting pizza on both Tuesdays and Thursdays b/c I don't like to eat pork or beef (burritos or ham sandwich or teriyaki dippers)
Just that? Do you guys have a soccer field? ehh I don't like how the courts and field is for the middle schoolers, but at other schools, half the team is my school. I have never been iceskating before, but I hve been rollerskating. I did not do so well.

I hope that doesn't happen to me... We have to do 10-15 minute presentations for 2 different classes by the end of the semester/school year (June) I hate talking in front of people..

I might have 7 in my final year, but there could still be 8. If I have 7, maybe I can take a college course to fill it in since I won't be able to go home anyways b/c my little sister would still have 8 and my mom picks us up most of the time. If I take college courses for free now, I might be able to get credit for it too. It reminds me that I will take AP tests to get some college credit.

Well I want to go into something medical to do something helpful in my life. I jsut don't know what to do yet. My couenselor is definitely not my best friend. She yells a lot, and she's so busy that she doesn't turn in college applications for seniors. So it's best to turn in the university application ourselves. And she doesn't help with the scholarships until last minute I think.. I don't know in what way I should ask her about scholarships if I make an appointment with her (during class). She might not know which scholarships that I could try..

Do you guys have homecoming (yeah that's what we call it.. unless you're talking about prom?) at the end of the year or around the beginning of the year? lol 15cm high heels?! Dang!! Ooh that dress sounds neat hmm, A way you can use eyeline for I guess fun would be this: [link]
Yeah I get what you mean, That's kinda why I don't like wearing ao dai very much. I always trip because it's too long. but I don't have to worry about that for this dress because the front is not long, just the back. I jsut hope noone steps on the back. Yeah, my sister can be a little mean sometimes. My cousin thinks that I'm ugly because I'm a nerd. My mom doesn't want me to go the the dance because this year I'm going with my American (blonde) friends instead of my other friends she has met. She says she doesn't like me wearing makeup, wearing a dress that reveals the back (and the front sorta), and that there are boys at the party (it's a valentine's party for school...). Thanks

I thought they were expensive. We don't have enough money for that anyways.. there are bills to pay. I thought Bali was a nice place (I was looking at pretty pictures on google).

That's great. I was hopig that you also enjoyed talking to me and learning new stuff.

Well, I still use it because I haven't added the songs I want in the ipod yet. I'm still confused on how to use it. My friend gave me this ipod: [link]
It's amazing! but she should really teach me how to use the itunes part of it. I understand everything on the ipod except adding songs and deleting them.

That's very nice. I won't mind either b/c of the same reason

Yeah it rained so much yesterday. We got like 150mm of rain and the garden flooded XD But it was nice, better than being stinking hot. Nah it's not scary. The school's built pretty far from the edge and there's a fence to stop people accidentally falling off or whatever.

Oh rly? I don't bother with cafeteria food, I bring a packed lunch. The lines are soo long that it takes at least 10-15 mins to get your food but they make really nice sandwiches and muffins.
Lol yeah I forgot about that >< cuz we have to share it with the middleschoolers and we have an outdoor basketball court too.

Wow, the longest presentation I've had to do was about 5-6 minutes D:

Don't you have free study in your final year? Over here we have at least one period where we can have free study.

Oh gosh that must really suck... Well, if you know about what sorta grades you're going to achieve you can start looking at what courses you might be able to take like pathology, surgery, general practitioner and then see what unis/colleges you are most likely to get into. Most unis/colleges list what sort of scholarships they have available to students so you can check if you meet the criteria. Over here we have government scholarships available as well but I'm not sure about that in America...

Is there a difference between homecoming and a prom? We call it a formal and we have it after we've finished all our exams and school stuff which is at the end of the year. Thanks ^____^ Yours sounds really pretty too . Lol I own no eyeshadow but thanks for the link anyways C:
That's horrible D: Is she really prissy or somethin? (no offense) Lol I'm pretty sure all Asian parents are the same. My mum keeps telling me to hang out with my asian friends but I already do XD

Yeah but they only really show the nice things. They don't show you that in between the nice hotels it's really slummy and the local people are always bugging you to buy stuff and there's kids begging on the street. Well not the street per say. If you take a car and you're stuck on a traffic light, kids will come up and knock on the window asking for money and they're only like 9 or 10 years old.

So do you buy kpop CD's then? I can't do that cuz there's no stores selling that sort of stuff where I live and I can't buy them online TT______TT iTunes is pretty simple. You just hit ctrl + O and then find then folder where your songs are and then hit the open button on the bottom. To delete em' you just click on whatever songs you want to delete and then hit the delete button on your keyboard and then click the delete song button when the popup appears
