Clearer this time. I did it with my new Photoshop CS2.

Here's the next part of the continuing story.

Restless

I ran like a yellow coward from the bathroom, my heart pounding in my ears. Throughout the hallways were spirits floating around me, seeming to fly from place to place. As I passed a large room I saw the smae girl, as many different spirits, dancing to a nameless tune, her white skirts rippling like pennant in a carnival.

At the end of the hall I saw a stairwell that led downwards, and I took it three steps at a time, until I reached the landing, where I sat and caught my breath enough to pull out my note book and write all that I had seen so far.

I should not have been surprised that light was shining through the window, but I was. The sunlight upon my face was welcome as I looked out upon the autumn scenery.

After girding my loins I then decided I should explore the Beaufort Asylum further to find the root that held the spirit here. I began to descend the stairs again until I reached the bottom. There I met another apparition, but was she an apparition? She touched my hand and pulled me to the black entrance of a basement underneath the house. Her hands were as cold as ice, and her eyes filled my heart with dread.

I pulled away from here and took a picture as she stood there, waiting for me to join her and be led into the enveloping darkness.

"It keeps us here." She said, "It keeps us ... alive."
