Description One last little rant before I go, mainly because that suitcase isn't going to pack itself.

I got asked if I was going to cover the recently announced Mega Man cartoon series. Yet besides a single image and a vague description, what can I really say about it to warrant another tl;dr rant? "Oh he looks like shit!" Rant over.

There was also the complete 180 damage control seen over at Marvel "You will embrace our liberal hipster bullshit and you will like it" Comics, in saying that Captain "Hail Hydra" America is not really a Nazi, but rather under mind control from the Cosmic Cube. If DC and Marvel are in a relationship you can tell which wears the pants.... and actually has some balls.

Whenever Marvel announce some major new controversy to rile up a bunch of neckbeards (myself very much included) they always puss out a few days later to reassure us status quo will return soon. When they announced the atrocious One More Day, they quickly came out to silence the tidal wave of negativity against it, until they caved in and starting printing horse shit like One Moment in Time. When they decided to kill Spider-Man with the Inferior Spider-Man story, they once again pussed out and told us that status quo will resume in time by showing Peter is technically still alive.

Fuck Marvel and there inability to ride the tidal wave when shit doesn't go there way. I mean look at DC for a second, they're determined with this Joker secret identity thing. We've told them not to but they're boldly dogging forward with it. God bless them in there conceit and blinding ignorance.

So what else is there to distract me from making sure I packed my toothbrush?

Oh yes. How could I forget?

To the Mighty No 9 backers who are still excited about this game. I know you're not going to like what I say and I commend you for remaining optimistic. After everything this campaign has done, you're still on board and I can respect that in some regard. Regardless, you're not going to like this rant so here is a video you can watch instead.

www.youtube.com/watch?v=NFEIDp…

In all honesty I was going to tread carefully on this, but then I saw the dislike bar on the new trailer and even the likes of AlphaOmegaSin calling it out.... I decided "okay, the gloves come off then!"

People act like this trailer is a misfire, when I feel this should be seen as the reason to get off this hype train. Going with the train analogy for a second, Mighty No 9 is clearly British Rail. It's late, makes nothing but excuses and is hit with more delays than I can throw broken bottles at Jeremy Hunt's face.

To say Mighty No 9 has had some troubled development, is like saying David Cameron is a bit of a cunt. The game the masses deemed to be the thing "to save video gaming" that week and poured a dick ton of money onto a man who will save Mega Man from Capcom's nefarious DLC clutches, seems to be coming up a bit short. If it seems I'm being unsympathetic to this cause then it's because I am. While I have nothing but respect for Keiji and his many great titles over the years, I'm not blinded by nostalgia to notice the man is not only full of shit but also played a part in some of Capcom's recent fuck ups.

Yes I know it's easy to kick Capcom while they're down and I won't stop ya, all I'm saying is save a few of those kicks for the man you gave $4 Million to produce a game that should have been out around April 2015. After all he was the executive producer on such classics as Resident Evil 5, Dragon's Dogma, Street Fighter 4 and that "well received" Bionic Commando reboot. As well as an executive producer credit on Legend of Chun Li.

My point is the man is not some savior of gaming who makes "good decisions" when an executive producer is "the head producer who oversees the creation of a film, television show, radio broadcast, music album, or theater performance" meaning he sat there and saw Legend of Chun Li and said "Oh yes, this is clearly a fantastic piece that needs no correction, give me cash!"

A large part of this cuntflappery came when the man had the cast-iron balls to set up another kickstarter for a Mega Man Legends successor called RedAsh..... Despite not finishing Mighty No 9 and delaying it for the 3 billionth time. Also running his mouth about how Mighty No 9 would have sequels, t-shirts, live action movies, cartoons, lunchboxes, kitchen sinks etc. While I sat there pondering that maybe you should finish the game you're currently making BEFORE bragging about shit you're going to do?

It would be like Marvel telling us Avengers 2 will be awesome, while making the first Iron Man movie! And delaying it about 3 fucking times.

I was saying alot of this around the second delay and was told to stop being negative. These days those same people are cheering me on as I beat Keiji over the head with my soapbox and bitterness best reserved for EA or Konami!

Then there was the Dina Abou Karam shit that's been well documented, let's not go over that again. As well as the delays, and the delays, and the delays and the delays. I had someone tell me that they had to switch platforms and change mechanics within the game. Fair enough, but it shouldn't take this game 3 years to be complete. I know Shiguru Miyamoto once said "A delayed game is eventually good, but a rushed game is forever bad." yet looking at Star Fox Zero's disastrous performance I think he needs to rethink that quote a bit.

So after the delays, the feminist bullshit, the graphics which seem to get worse as the years go by, more delays, the other kickstarter project and even more delays. You think it couldn't get any worse right?

www.youtube.com/watch?v=YngbHO…

........ I think the trailer speaks for itself. It should be noted Comcept have come out and voiced their disdain for that trailer. If only the guy in charge was keeping an eye on the details? Or was he too busy setting up a kickstarter for "I can't believe it's not Mega Man Zero?"

I know alot of this rant was very bitter, but let me be clear on one thing. This wasn't to jump on the "Mighty No 9 sucks!" hate bandwagon that far too many are doing these days. This coming more from disappointment, frustration and dissatisfaction that it's taking so long to produce this single game. Meanwhile Capcom have already produced a Mega Man game and working on a new cartoon.... That looks like ass but you get my point.

If the game comes out and it blows all our minds, I'll take back every word I said and praise it till the cows come home. However, if June 21st comes and that game is not sitting on store shelves?

Then I'll get venomous.... Or just not buy it.

I never understood the hate Star Fox Zero gets. Is it a perfect game? No, I felt like they could have done more with it, gave you the option to completely turn off motion controls, and it should have been a sequel to Star Fox 64 instead of being another reboot. It is worthy of the Star Fox name? Absolutely, it's a return to form after the series plummeted to mediocrity since Star Fox Adventures.

Anyway, Ponzi Scheme No. 9 looks pathetic, when I'm actually gaining back trust for Capcom after their recent and numerous blunders, that's saying something, at least they're trying to improve, Inafune has become nothing more than a sellout.

I will hopefully be playing SFZ soon to see for myself what all the hate is about.

Yeah Capcom have been trying to turn things around. Some will see it differently and point to Street Fighter V. Yet at least there isn't any on disc DLC and the game functions..... And actually came out when they said it would XD

Starfox: Zero is not that bad but some people are being impatient with it, look at Kid Icarus: Uprising and Skyward Sword, great games but got a large learning curve ahead. Same with StarFox: Zero. Completionist did it justice. You just need to get used to it and appreciate a as it's own game because it is much different from 64. Trust me, I will love it. I agree withMighty No. 9 though.

I will say my comment about Zero was more aimed based on what has been said. I will reserve my own judgement when I get my hands on the game.

I think people are too stubborn to learn new control schemes, would I have liked options? Yes, but I am sure to love it.

I think it's more to do with buggy frame rates, delays, bricking Wii U's and the halfheartedness the final product has.

Well at least it has been better received than Adventures; Assault and Command due to the gameplay being challenging.

I tried the game last year at PAX Australia on the Wii U and it was pretty good but nothing spectacular.

I was kind of one of those people who supported the Kickstarter out of spite for Capcom since they were doing some serious BS (and mind you, I'm not a big Mega Man fan) but after all of those delays, that other Kickstarter that happened and the fact that it's being published by Deep Silver instead of themselves, gives me little confidence in Inafune. He completely shot himself in the foot and went a little too far ahead instead of stepping back.

I'm sure the game will turn out okay but if he does another crowd-funding project, I ain't gonna support it. I've done enough donations for other games and some of them haven't been released yet.

tvtropes even Referred to mighty 9 as something "deader than disco" even before being released....the sad part is...
The gameplay will be something average, not too good but not too bad.....and some people will find more interesting the story rather than the game itself.
But the delays not only damaged Inafune's reputation but also....people is afraid of kickstarter games what with the aparent sucesors of Castlevania and Banjo/Kazoie, fearing another colosal dissapointment.

About the quote from Shigeru.....i just have other quote. Every rule has an exception, so his saying while having points, is not invincible like  any other stuff.

Graphically, the game doesn't look very good but I still think it looks like it will be fun to play. Regardless, I don't like how this situation was handled. Inafune could have prevented all of this had he just worked on the game everyone wanted. People didn't fund the game because they wanted a TV show, live-action movie, and all that other stuff - they wanted a game that carried on the spirit of Mega Man since Capcom wasn't treating the franchise very well. I think Inafune started the game with genuine intentions to give the fans what Capcom wasn't giving them, but maybe the success of the kickstarter just got to his head, and he thought the fans will support any of his dream projects that he also wanted to do. There's nothing wrong with him wanting to do other projects, but he really should have worked on this game and waited for its reception upon release before going forward with everything else. I still plan on playing the game and, as I said, I still think it looks fun, but I don't know if I can trust Inafune with anything after this.

How the mighty have fallen indeed.

But as I’ve mentioned before, I’m gonna wait for more details about the new MegaMan cartoon. (which some fans have nicknamed it MegaMan of Action, for obvious reasons) Before I make any judgements on it. For all we know, the design might change/alter when the cartoon airs next year or they might have better artworks of that design but just picked a poor choice of pose. Anything could happen between now and next year.

As I said before. Just watching that trailer just made me cringe. I mean without the voice over the trailer felt lacking but like, couldn't they have taken it in a different direction. But there were more issues than just that of course. Things don't look good for Mighty No.9
