Description
This my version of the scarabax beetle known as Click ( I also did it since I never had the set
)As you can see, it's much bigger that the original set and much more complex, but still retaining that scarabax essence and that you can easily say that this is Click.
This MOC is also my oldest creation, being the very first MOC that I did after I came back in MOCing. And funny as it sounds, Click was the reason for why I returned in Bionicle and starting to do MOCs, which is why this fig has a pretty big sentimental value.

Honestly, as an owner of one of the Click sets, I have to say I think this is better than what LEGO released!
It's got more detail, but it's not overdone either, which is nice.

I never really had a Click set do and I really wanted one the soon as I saw it and which is why I built this, but I also wanted to make something a bit more complex than the original one, but also like you said I didn't wanted to make it overdune or ridiculously complex, simple and good looking.
And also this Click CAN turn into a working Scarabax Shield which I will show it in a future pic.

very nice
i was actually able to get one of the Click sets when it came out, funny thing about it, it was built with a socket/hand piece between the hind legs
so i was able to fold the legs up and use it as a replacement forearm with a claw hand (highly doubt it was intentional)
this really has nothing to do with what you made, but i thought it might provide ideas you might find fun in future MOCs
