Jaguar chose Geneva this year to show off the 'R' variant of their F-Type Coupe, now delivering about 550hp from its 5.0-litre V8 powerplant. At just £85,000 it's still an expensive car, but much more affordable than some others in the same segment. I'm still not quite convinced that this is quite as much of the spiritual successor to the E-Type that some make it out to be, but it's certainly striking.Related content

I'll roll my own nowadays. I don't want a supercar in the sense of "raw number generator" I want a supercar in the sense of "super fun car"...
LS engine + Miata shell = win.
