Description For a while we've been asking the question of what Bugatti would do to surpass its aging Veyron model. Finally, at Geneva this year Bugatti gave us their answer - the Chiron. When it launched a decade ago, the Veyron was a technical tour-de-force with some very large numbers. The Chiron looks to continue that legend with some even larger numbers - a W16 engine outputting just shy of 1500hp and a 0-60 time of less than 2.5 seconds. The designers have admitted that the Bugatti Vision Gran Turismo that did the rounds last year was secretly a direct sneak preview of the Chiron, which a number of people - myself included - suspected might be the case. Just 500 examples will be produced, but only 150 have been sold so far, so if you want one, there's still time to get your order in. Be prepared for the other number that's gotten larger, though, as the price is now a wallet-crippling 2.4 million Euros, or £1.9 million.

I've heard that there are some rumors that Bugatti might produce a 4-door sedan that may enter the vehicle lineup of Bugatti beyond the Chiron.

At first, they cancelled the project for a 4-door super-sedan such as a 16C Galibier, but it looks like they changed their minds and favored to bring one into production eventually.

I'm unsure if it's true or not though.

This seems to be a thing with both Bugatti and Lamborghini, threatening to 'do a Porsche' and release a 4-door saloon supercar, but the plans never quite seem to reach fruition. We've seen concepts and statements of possible intent, but will we ever see a production model...? Maybe!

Well you're not mistaken, but in all honesty, when you get to the sort of customer Bugatti is looking for, I think they can pretty much do whatever they want, since it's exclusive enough to sell!

That's nice.... drop by when you're in the area, I'm sure you could use a spare driver.

Jeeeeeeeeeeeeez. <3 Yeah, this does look rather severely good, I have to admit... and in a colour scheme I'd certainly consider for my own too. It does feel like they've taken the overall look of the Veyron but just sharpened it up here and there and done some neat things with it. Certainly looking forward to seeing more of this!

I do like it, we're entering an age now where cars can be engineered for extreme performance but still have unusual design aspects that aren't purely geared towards aerodynamics. That's not to say older extreme performance cars look bad, far from it, but there just seem to be more options now, and I'm enjoying seeing the new waves of design emerging.

Yeah, same here. It's neat that, even as the engineering gets more and more extreme and precise, it doesn't all seem to converge toward a single optimal solution. On the contrary, it feels like it's just making even more diversity and creativity possible.
