I've never really screwed around with lighting with coloring. @_@ I wouldn't know where to begin.

I was really hesitant w/ extreme lighting/weird colors( XDD; ) too and still am XD;;
I find messing around w/ color balance/ contrast and brightness to be really helpful to get an idea of what some other color schemes would look like.
