Alternate version of [link] I did for the sake of personal experimentation with a different look and approach to finishing a piece.I feel really silly for uploading two versions of the same pic consucutively but I wanted to know what you all think. (I'm thinking of using this version for prints at future cons)
so, what do you think? Better/worse/compared to the original/ect, let me know!

I think I get what you mean. This one always looked more "hero" to me too XD like he's outside in a blazing sunset/sunrise.

I personally like the bolder/less yellow-y colors on the first one. I think it shows off his hair better.
But only if I was looking at them both side by side, either way is cool!

Yeah, the stronger textures/grain in this version sort of flattens the whole thing out and kills some detail =_=;; that was the con that bothered me too.

or just pulling a lock till it gets cut or something.. you get the picture >.>

I have no idea why, but I read it hair tear as in, "I'm sad, I will cry a tear." instead of "I will tear my hair out." =_x;;;;;;
I like that expression XDD I'll remember it.
