Description
Rope tornado south of Hays, Kansas. The weather models on the morning of May 25 were a great surprise and we rushed out to Kansas quite unexpectedly. This tornado was the first one I've ever been a little concerned about being too close to, it was moving quite a bit and at one point heading right for us. It roped out shortly after.
Summary: appeared, tried to kills us, gone. That didn't leave near enough time for photos in my book!

I was really taken by the colors and saturation from the rain in this scene. What I found really interesting later is the scene was very black and white from the other side, the photos from the south looked just like my April 14 twister: [link]
