Iconic animated intergalactic alien conquerors who wanted to take over their worlds out of a twisted sense of love for them (Cybertron & Vilgaxia) as both deeply care for their races despite what their overall cruelty might suggest and took the fight to Earth.

They're known for having tons of robots, bounty hunters and weapons at their disposal and have battle forms that are basically less humanoid versions of their normal forms (A Tank & a Giant Squid).

They have silver-tongued yet cowardly right-hand men (Starscream & Psyphon). Ironically, Starscream is often depicted as so much of a traitor that he has a TV Tropes page named after him about that while Psyphon is depicted as almost suicidally loyal.

They have interacted with extra-dimensional demonic beings that resemble their races (Unicron & the Dagon) and were transformed into their heralds for a time until they regained full control of themselves.

They’re the archenemies of the iconic transforming space main protagonists (Optimus Prime & Ben 10) who gained powerful cosmic matrixes that would be essential in defeating them (The Matrix of Leadership & the Omnitrix) from wise centuries-old aliens who are renowned for their intelligence and act as guides to them (Alpha Trion & Azmuth) and are the star players of organizations of intergalactic peacekeepers (The Autobots & the Plumbers). They absolutely despise them but still hold deep respect for them and are willing to team up with them when the situation calls for it.
