Description
I present to you, Count Veektor.I ended up making a pedestal out of plaster. (I'll show the tool I made to form it.) After I cast it, I beat it up a bit to give it an aged and cracked look.
The only thing that really threw me while I was sculpting this piece were the variations in the color of the clays. The darker tinted clay gave the impression of depressions in the clay.
I'll post turnaround shots and close up shots soon as well.
Thanks again goes to Mark aka for the inspiration to take this piece a different direction and to a whole new level.
I'm excited to mould, cast and color this piece.
I already have a good idea of the colors I want.
Hope you all like it!

Man, how did I miss this guy!
He looks fantastic Randy!! Agree with Spike about the batwing shoulders, that's an excellent touch. Love the little bat brooch too
Can't wait to see him with colours!

Thanks so much Jamie!
I really did have a blast with this guy.
I've got a good idea of what I want for colors so it should be a fun piece when all is said and done.
Thanks again my friend....and for the fave as well!

So great to hear from you Donna!
I'm the same as you with Facebook.
I haven't posted a journal here for a while and I really need to.
I try to at least post my work here and answer any messages but sometimes it's more fun to breeze through Facebook and see what's going on in the world.
I don't think it's that people don't like your work, I think they love it just like I do. The thing I don't like about FB is that after you post something it's just gone.
You can't fave things and have it in a Fave Gallery.
I agree with you....Deviant Art is more personable too.
Great to see you back here.
I've always loved your work and always will!
Ps. Thanks for faving my Count Veektor too!

I love how the defined cheek bones seriously bring out the shape of the skin that comes up from the jaw. I'm also digging the look in the eyes and the crows feet too.
Your knack for really putting personalities into the characters is what makes me love your work!

Fragile-yet-CunNINg [2013-09-25 06:38:48 +0000 UTC]
Look out, Edward Cullen, there's a new hottie in town! I love those shifty eyes of his, and that shiny, shiny head of his would make a wonderful tupee stand. But how does he manage to keep such a stiff upper lip when it is so amazingly long? Perhaps it has something to do with all that sucking - that must give your upper lip muscles some good exercise.

Hee hee....Tupee stand...Now that would be a good selling point.
He does have the sultry steamy look. Full and pouty lips to lull you in to a false sense of security.
Thanks for faving Tiia!

Thank you so much! I think I worked on it for about 2-1/2 weeks or so.
It had started out as another piece so that cut down on my time by quite a bit.
