Description Alagaeisa-
For a hundred years the mad King Galbatorix ruled over the lands of Alagaesia. Recently however he was overthrown and a new government has been established under High Queen Nasuada. Though peace has been restored the land is now somewhat fractured into several new territories as Nasuada begins to consolidate power. Not all approve of her new rule and some even seek her end.

Asturia-
A powerful kingdom that is economic power house. Relatively young, its greatest advantage is its mighty Guymelef forces. Highly feudal Asturia is ruled by a King from the capitol city of Palas and has many lesser nobles jockeying fro power. It shares a border with Zaibac with which it has a standing truce.

Beor Dwarves-
Dwarves (Knurlan in Dwarvish, singular knurla and Dvergar in the Ancient Language once known to all creatures) were one of the only races native to Alagaësia. Known as lovers of rock and stone, dwarves had a long lifespan and often lived in large, underground cities in the Beor Mountains. One of the most famous dwarf cities was located in Farthen Dûr ("Our Father" in dwarvish). The city itself, Tronjheim, was the secret hiding place of the Varden up until the Battle under Farthen Dûr. The dwarves had many clans such as the Dûrgrimst Az Sweldn rak Anhûin and the Dûrgrimst Ingeitum.

Britannis-
Near the base of the southern Beor Mountains lies the Kingdom of Britannis. Britannis is a land of rolling hills, green fields, great castles, and small hamlets. Ruled from the capitol city of Camelot Britannis was at war with Midland for almost a century over the control of Castle Doldrey which controls the nearest trade route to the Crusader lands. Currently ruled by King Arthur its status on magic has changed from the previous views of his father. Mages are collected at a young age and sent to the great schools of magic such as Tristan or Hogwarts. The aid of these mages allowed Britannis to fight Midland to a bloody stalemate after the fall of Doldrey. Britannis maintains a strong force of Knights who swear their allegiance to the King and protect his lands.

Castlevania-
A dark land of shadows and death, Castlevania is dotted with numerous ruins and small villages. Ruled by Dracula in its southern regions the land has been scared by many wars as various powers, notably the Crusader States fight to put the armies of death that dwell there to rest. Many Vampire clans and covens call this land home and cast their forces against the Crusaders and one another in a deadly game of court intrigue. Trust nothing in this place for all is hidden behind shadows and fear.

Crusader States-
The Crusader States are an alliance of cities around Castlevania that have united to drive back the might of the undead hordes. Many Orders of Knights and proud mercenaries can be found here plying their trade in the art of death. The Crusader States also play host to the deadly Assassin's order. War with Castlevania is frequent and much of the lands near the borders are dead, ravaged by decades of war and carnage. Still the Crusader States are a wealthy land with many cities laying tribute from the free holders of the Free lands, trading with Midland or Britannis, mineral wealth to the north, and the rich fields about the inland Lepanto sea.

Du Weldenvarden-
Elves migrated to Alagaësia from Alalëa in the distant past; around 5217 AC. Frequently called the fair folk they joined with the dragons of Alagaësia to form the Dragon Riders. With the fall of the riders they were driven back into the forest of Du Weldenvarden for a hundred years before aiding the Varden in the war against the riders. The Elves of Du Weldenvarden are vain, powerfully magical, and infuriatingly condescending.

Equestria-
Equestria is a peaceful land of magical talking Ponies. For over a thousand years it has been ruled by the Demigoddess Princess Celestia, who has now been joined by her sister Princess Luna. Now however they are in a dangerous new world where the Ponies must relearn the ways of war they have forgotten after centuries of peace. If they cannot protect themselves they are doomed to fall. But in this land, friendship is magic.

Fanelia-
A small Kingdom, Fanelia is a land of opposites. It is prosperous yet sparsely populated, it has skilled warriors but a very small standing army, its kings rise to power in a brutal ritual of Dragon Slaying yet are often wise and well respected. Fanelia is often seen as a very cozy rest stop for travelers as it has breath taking scenery and a very kindly people.

Free Lands-
The rich farming lands north of the fan are a divided mass of small farm holds and local lords united only by their own interest in remaining free and independent. There is no capitol, no king, and no ruling lord, only lesser nobles who bicker both with words and swords over control of the various farmlands. Armies rarely number more than a few dozen in this place, being more of armed mobs and mercenaries than regimented soldiers. The only notable centers of trade are Logue Town off the coast, and Traverse town near the northern edge of the fan. That said the Free Lands are not defenseless. Just north of Traverse town is the City State of Sparta, a city whose warrior culture has lasted through the centuries. The Spartans are the unofficial protectors of the Free Lands. In exchange for tribute from the free holders the Spartan's provide a powerful veteran army to defend the Free Lands from invasion.

Fried-
The Duchy of Fried is a small yet spiritual land of great temples and swirling mists. Formally allied with Asturia Fried has little fear of outside interference in its affairs and for the most part keeps to itself. It is protected by warrior monks who train in arts both spiritual as well as martial

Griffon Kingdoms-
The Griffon Kingdoms are supposed to be ruled by a singular king but due the pride and in born competitive nature of the Griffons they constantly struggle for power. The King holds very little real power, and few times the Griffon Kings have held power it has often lead to bloody wars with their neighbors such as Equestria or the Zebra. The Griffons are difficult to approach or get along with due to their arrogance. Their pride however is often proved well deserved in the fury of bloody combat. Griffons are terrifying fighters with beak, talon, and lance.

Midland-
A powerful kingdom in the center of the south lands Midland controls a large amount of territory and often exerts its influence upon its neighbors. The life of commoners is about as good as you could expect in a feudal of government though the aristocracy is rather decadent. Midland recently ended a brutal back a forth one hundred year war with Britannis. Though Midland failed to conquer Britannis thanks to the power of its magics they captured the castle of Doldrey thus winning the war. There remain border skirmishes however over the lands Midland has recently captured and with local lords of the Free Lands.

Orzammar Dwarves-
History tells us that the dwarven kingdoms once spread across all of Thedas, and that the underground city-fortresses called thaigs were almost beyond counting. Kal-Sharok was the capital then, home to all the noble houses, and Orzammar was simply the home of the miner and smith castes. It is an awe–inspiring sight, a great city of stone standing within a vast cavern, poised over a sea of molten lava. There the forges ring loudest, and the finest smiths create works that are the envy of all races. Countless thaigs were lost in the first Blight, when the darkspawn poured out of the Deep Roads like smoke. With each generation, more of the Deep Roads had to be sealed, more thaigs lost forever. Now only Orzammar stands—the last bastion of the dwarven race and its finest creation.

Qunari-
The Qunari (literally, "People of the Qun") is a term that can refer to a member of any race who adheres to the teachings of the Qun. The majority of the Qunari are kossith, but humans, elves and even dwarves can also be Qunari. Humans of Rivain and elven slaves of Tevinter are especially susceptible to conversion, although it is not unknown for members of other groups to embrace the Qun. The Qunari are recent arrivals to Thedas, having come by warships three centuries ago from an unknown eastern land across the Northern Ocean. The contact with it was lost during the Storm Age. They once threatened to conquer all of the known world, but after several Exalted Marches they have lost much land. The Qunari currently maintain a tight grip on Par Vollen and loosely control Seheron. They also hold Kont-Aar in northern Rivain and Qundalon on the coast north of Anderfels. They are involved in a prolonged war for dominance of the north against the Tevinter Imperium.

Surda-
Surda was a small country in southern Alagaësia, on the southwest border of the Empire. It was founded before the beginning of the Rider War, and remained outside of Galbatorix's Empire, as he was occupied with other sinister acts of Dark magic and did not consider it a threat. Consequently, many outlaws from the Empire sought refuge there, including the Varden. After Galbatorix was killed and Urû'baen was captured, a treaty with Nasuada allowed Aroughs, Feinster, Furnost, Eoam, and Melian to be added to its territory, causing it double in size.

Tervinter-
The Tevinter Imperium is a nation in Thedas ruled by a powerful magocracy. The leaders of the Imperium are called magisters, and are led by the Imperial Archon. The Tevinter Imperium worshiped the Old Gods, supposedly from whom the magisters learned magic. According to the Chantry, it was at the beckoning of the Old Gods that the magisters attempted to usurp the Maker's throne by entering the Golden City of the Maker, which corrupted it and led to the first Blight. The Tevinter Imperium suffered the brunt of the First Blight and was subsequently toppled in an invasion by southern barbarians led by the prophetess Andraste; it is now only a shadow of its former self in both size and power.

Thedas-
Thedas is a continent in the southern Hemisphere. The word "Thedas" originates from Tevinter, once referring to all lands beyond the Imperium and eventually, it came to encompass the entire continent. A native of Thedas is referred to as a Thedosian. The Chantry is the dominant religious organization across Thedas, whose philosophy is based upon the life and teachings of the prophet Andraste. The view of the Chantry on non-humans is that they need saving—they have turned even further from the Maker's grace than humanity has. Elves were, and in some cases still are, pagan and dwarves do not worship any gods at all. The Chantry's goal is to spread the Chant of Light to all four corners of the world, that includes non-humans as well. Once all peoples have accepted the Chant and practice its teachings, supposedly the Maker will return to the world and return it to its previous Edenic state.

Urgals-
Barbaric horned humanoids living in the mountain valley's of the Spine. The Urgals have been suggested to be cousins of the Kossith who make up the Qunari but no formal study has been made on the matter. The Urgals are tribal but their tribes frequently number in the hundreds if not thousands. They recognize Nasuada as High Queen.

Zaibach-
Until recently Zaibach was relatively weak and primitive, one of the many small lands near the border with Castlevania. recently in the past few decades this has changed. Zaibach has become an industrial and aggressive expansionist power with advanced technology.

Zebra Lands-
The Zebra are a tribal people by nature, in fact they have no real central government. The various chieftains of the tribes form an assembly of sorts that meets once every four years in the city of Aura the nominal capitol. Most of their territory is either sprawling savanna or harsh desert. The people here a mystical and mysterious, often drawing fear or disconcerting feelings from visitors. They are however quiet friendly and have a rich cultural identity.

So yes this is a zoom in on one of the map sections from my previous map which can be found here [link] .
