Really? A Luxury Ball? A Timer Ball or a Quick Ball may have been more valuable. The Luxury ball is dumb!

Luxury balls look expensive.
For a Ralts, that is more than enough.
Imagine a child stealing a fake golden lego figure because it looks fancy.
Besides, the worth of the item was never stated or asked, if it was a piece of candy it would still have the same effect, all be it less impressive to walk out of a store with without losing the item.

All the luxury ball does is make the Pokemon more friendly, and i dont see Bonnie be friendly to anyone.
