I think from now on, I'd like my dragons to have some sort of feather coating

Feathered dragons are indeed awesome (probably the same as feathered dinosaurs I guess). I really love the super dynamic pose and the wings of the dragon. Also your use of some blur fits perfectly into the whole scene. Fantastic artwork!
