Extremely interesting approach! (IΒ΄m no dino-specialist but always been interested). Thought IΒ΄d missed something, googled "pics"... most artists seem to show the creature with a "spiky" finlike back. But why not cover it with skin?
-looks closely-... Did you gve him feathersΒ΄precursors too?

Should the neck be attached to the back of the head rather than under its jaw?

It's a throat pouch. Neck is fine.

It has that murky, mysterious aura vintage art has, it doesn't feel all dry and sciency like a lot of modern art. Yet this is still accurate.

The snout looks like he tried to eat a hedgehog. So spiky But it looks awesome nevertheless

It's more subjective really

Reminds me a bit of really old sketches of T. rex that have it hunched over and dragging its tail. It's interesting that Spinosaurus does kind of resemble these old conceptions of what dinosaurs looked like - the hunched-over look, the spending most of its time in water, etc.

I love it ! It's my favorite of the two versions you made. I think what wins it for me is the afternoon sun palette and the peaceful scene that contrasts with
the uge animals that were Spinosaurus. Recent studies consider that Spinosaurus could indeed walk on two legs so it's also relatively accurate. Really great work !

This artwork is extremely exquisite and I like it a lot. I'm curious to how Spinos could live in packs or squads being that I initially thought of them to be solo hunters.

Depends on how you interpret it. When I was doing this, I was thinking of how random brown bears unknown to each other gathering up on a river when salmon are plenty. This is basically just that

When you shed light on that interpretation, I understand. That's a unique way to close the gap between two apex predators of two extremely different times.
