Lovely lines, but I like her better in post-WWII Allied markings. I sometimes wonder which aircraft would get the better of a dogfight, the Me262 or the DeHavilland Vampire Mk I; the Vampire had straight wings and only one engine, but was also lighter and more maneuverable. The Messerschmitt was armed with 30mm cannon, but the guns proved less than optimum with a slow rate of fire and low muzzle velocity, unlike the Vampire's four 20mm guns. If each aircraft had a pilot of equal skill at the controls, which would have proved the more capable machine?
