What gets me really annoyed is why the concept of literally wiping off an entire species from the Earth FOREVERΒ is not enough to deter people. I mean, forever means FOREVER. Assuming that cloning isn't possible (or at least, for these unfortunate animals due to lack of preparation), that means we will never, ever see them again. EVER.

Species come and species go.

geneticmonster03 In reply to CreaturemasterProds [2018-11-30 16:19:34 +0000 UTC]

I agree
this just proves how even though our species is smart enough to dominate this planet
we just shove nature to the side
and we got lucky as a species
we got smart
a few thousand years ago we where just another ape from the homo genusΒ

we were preyed upon like any other animalΒ
and though we distance our selves we are still animals
just a little bit smarter

now I'm not gonna get to religiousΒ but
god made this earth for all living things including us
we just abuse it for our own personal gain in a way that is not only horrible but selfish and cruel
and as a guy who loves animals extinct or alive

this is actuallyΒ really sad

Unfortunately Northern White Rhinos are technically extinct because there are only two females left...

...so this is sadly true

I think the seal is a Caribbean monk seal.

The horse-like animal is a quagga, while the one of the far left is probably a Pyrenean ibex. Next to the dodo is a great auk (killed off to be turned into fish bait and fuel...). The giant bird in the background must be a moa.
