Description
Dinofelis,a type of saber toothed cat dragging its kill. An early hominid.I think "Deinofelis" would sound more formal and appropriate but nah that's just me.

Love that song by Daryll Hall and John Oates, first heard it as a kid and loved it along with their other song Adult Education.

Amazing, touches of Knight, Frazetta and Renoir. Luscious and somber all at once.

This really pins down the idea that early humans weren't the dominant species.Β

Technically I believe, "The first Woman-eater."
I'm just a little curious why you had it this way instead of the result of the mother gathering food or whatever, and the kid wandering away like they do. Or the mother taking her eyes off the kid for ONE SECOND, and turning around to see the Dinofelis dragging away her child for lunch. It would have evoked similar familial grief emotions.

The kid has a big head, yeah, but the others are a matter of perspective. But then again we're dealing with pre-historic characters and there are evidence of hominids with with relatively large skulls.

Or maybe they died because they were too young to survive on their own and that was their parent.
