hey, sorry for late reply.Β 
I think when it comes to style the more you know how things are drawn realistically (anatomy, perspective, ect) the more confident you get at playing around with style that is informed by knowledge rather that style that hides your weaknesses. That's what I enjoy the most about the drawing styles of the people I follow here.
