I remember when the discovery channel had a series up about a PyroRaptor who was washed up on an unknown island where small dinosaurs ruled. He was all alone. Kind of how I feel sometimes. I looked at the code of the site. did some tweaking and after a while found the code to show the dinosaur on my own screen then saved it as a readable file and I have had it saved to my computer ever since. Its not my artwork, I wish it was. But I thought I would share something that is no longer available to the public through "Discovery.com" after a year they take down the pages and delete the files and upload different things. So instead of having me keep this all to myself. I will share it with everybody here
And yes that's one of my personas cause I love this cute little dinosaur

Normally, I don't like being scared. This however, got me good and I really enjoyed the animation. Its really lifelike, and it feels like it was from the special itself.

It's similar to the feather fluff that chicks have but more evolved. They found fossils with proof of the feathers. As for Pod, I think hes "Cute and Fluffy" XD lol.

LOL true but we can always see it like this. Featherd dinosaurs were a different branch to the leathery scaly breed but same species and such. Just slight time difference

In "The Museum of Ancient Life" in Thanksgiving Point, Utah they have the most dinosaur specimens than any other on Earth.....and they have a Utahraptor there!

Pod is my favorite dinosaur from the series and the episode he was in was also my favorite. He kind'a acted like Christopher Columbus or Marco Pollo, except for the screaming, the killing and his claw.

i so loved this little pyroraptor and his story! (i loved the story of white tip too, but pods adventure on that island was always my favorite

I loved pod too. Very cute and loved the story. White tip was cute too but pod is more like me. I have red mane too heheheh.
My only regret is not being able to find other videos of the dinos as well. I was very lucky to get this one.

Many thanks for sharing this clip. Dinosaur Planet is 1 of my favorite dinosaur programs, right up there w/Dinosaur Face-Off & Chased by Dinosaurs. What would've been even better is if there was a clip like that for White Tip, Das, & Alpha as well.

I tried to find those clips but this was the only one I could find unfortunately. I think I am the only one who has the raw file straight off the discovery dinosaurs site. Unfortunately over time they have removed most if not all of the dinosaur animations from their site. Hence why I am sharing it with everybody because its a wonderful work of art.

In retrospect, the aforementioned dino docs aren't my favorites (The 1st 2 are just OK & the 3rd is kinda stupid). At the time, I was really excited about so many new dino docs coming out so close together in time. I still like Pod clip, though, & appreciate you sharing it.

I also liked that show and Pod's story. Very well done. I will never be able to do 3D graphics like that which is why I stick to 3D sculpture in clay. Drawing is even a tough one for me but Its still fun to do.

I remember a book that was written by Robert T. Bakker that was from the dinosaurs perspective. the book is called "Raptor Red". An incredible book to read! His other book is more from the paleo science mindset and its called "The Dinosaur Heresies" and its also an incredible book. It tells about how mammal mimded humans are when in reality we the mammals are outnumbered by the reptiles. Very cool book!.
I had no idea Maya was used to make the effects. Very cool!

Yay! Raptor Red! I own that book and yes it was awesome! It the author's notes he talked about how his study helped Jarassic Park design their raptors. :3 Also awesome.
