Description I dont normally do tutorials but in this case I made an exception. I know that photoshop has all kinds of plugins like alien skin and eyecandy to make things but that takes the fun out of it and honestly photoshop special effects can be so simple. Take for example making a sphere or bubble. You dont need to work an hour to make the perfect bubble just folow my 2 step process and presto! Instant bubble!

And ya i know my poem is wierd. But it was spontanious so i thought why not? I love my little dog. Shes a long hair chihuahua terrier mix. Long legs and cute as can be.

This is the first tutorial that I come across that have so few step, yet the result look amazing O_O
This probably even is the best bubble tutoiral ever so far!
-I been looking on some and they all where long, complicated and the end result wasn't really wow,to be honest, and a very few others can't I even follow as theyre for the newer adobes (I have 5.5..yeah..old ^^' ) and this is just perfect for me - I can follow it (yay for ONCE,as there is no adobe 5.5 photoshop tutorial out on the net anymore if ever wanted to try any -_-' ) and it dosn't aquire the long complexness - 2 steps and just alone by that - makes a very awesome bubble : D
Im trying this out right now actuly,
I will link to this tutorial when Im done with the pic and submit it : D
I usuly use a 3D bubble filter for my pics, but there is times where I need to do them by hand, and usuly it been a struggle by looking at real photos of bubbles..but this, surely will save me in the future ^O^
Thanks so much for sharing this simple yet wow resulting tutorial!!!

oh indeed it did,Im just amazed that such a beutifull made bubble just need two simple steps (and that makes me happy actuly, but yet, amazed)

ah yes indeed -_-
I still try to look for some 5.5 adobe photoshop tutorials,
but Im sad to see no one ever archived any of them as of yet..unless I missed any site that does hmm >_>'

Photoshop is so expensive too,so it takes ages before I get a brand new one and can follow any of the tutorials on the net..and once I get it...the sad fact probably will be that the one I get will be outdated and people allready start to make new tutoiral for the newer batch XD

ah well ^^'
but yeah - I just finished my little bubbles, theyre not the greatest, but afterall, this pic Im doing is a layer based thing (Im not used with layers) and the background is light blue, not dark,so heh yeah - won't get the same prettyness, but practice make perfect, they say. So yeah, going to link back to this and give you credit for the bubble tut - but it may take a while, the pic is only half done X_X* -grr layers-
and sorry for the long rant T_T'

I'll have to try this. I've been using brushes to make bubbles but do like the look of yours. The dog reference is very cute

what if i want to kno how da doggy got in there?

RaptorArts In reply to forgottenbravery [2008-03-28 02:34:41 +0000 UTC]

Just a transparent layer magic wand around the bubble layer or do a marque of a circle and then copy paste into the bubble layer. Then if you have Photoshop "Spherize" and then make the layer transparent
