Start:And here we see how absolutely terrible I am at backgrounds, digital painting, and perspective!
I wanted something very simple and kind of dreamlike to communicate the general feeling of the start of the comic. Since I'll be doing multiple covers over the course of the run (Which will become better drawn as I start to suck less.), I didn't feel like it was appropriate to do something completely epic and full of characters or anything sort of dynamic. (Which probably would have been easier to look at.)
This is mostly a formality. But it does have some certain allusions to stuff that hasn't come yet. So if you don't mind looking at it, enjoy!
(Also, 2 Cookies to whoever can guess what the D stands for on the laptop.)

Oh trust me, making chapter covers is a little art in itself. It's a constant juggle between putting in not too little and not too much. Personally I'm a big fan of putting in just enough to leave all the other content and meaning that you want to put in there as a sort of "negative space"... like in art, it is shaped by the few existing things that are present, however, these create silhouettes that make our brains and imaginations work to fill in the blanks by ourselves. And imo you've done just that!
Also, I share the sentiments with this one gentleman before me, that which we might have believed to be a Devon Corp logo, is in actuality a stylized banana in a circle, fair and square. Β Β
