Some fun facts: Astrope is the Queen depicted in the Mewnipendence book. In my interpretation the Mewnipendence wars lasted many years and for multiple queens. We only see the beginning of the book, but Star skips quite a bit of it when she says “And there was fighting, fighting, fighting…. And the Mewmans won!” The Mewnipendence wars didn’t officially start during Astrope’s reign, but due to being the first queen and the actions she made, she is counted technically as the start. Astropes original name was Alvina, which means “a Friend to all” and her last name was Croft (Which I’ll get into when we get to Moe) But she changed both her first and her last name when she became queen. Astrope became queen at 14. It also isn’t written about much in her bio, but Astrope was quite religious, despite there not being a strong religion in Mewni at the time, Astrope always believed there to be some god or goddess watching over and guiding them.
