Rastaban, the true expert when it comes to landing on muddy terrain
Yay! My animation project is finished. It took a while but I really like the result. Learned a lot about putting an animation together too! Fun, a bit annoying and time CONSUMING process. Need to learn how to make things faster if I wanna do more animations in the future
Done using: Blender, Krita, OpenToonz

I wanted to check out cool new features related with drawing 2D animation in Blender. Hoping to make the whole animation in Blender. But Blender was not enough for the whole project, so I've switched. At first to Krita but when I realized how much time I would spend on coloring every frame I quickly decided to give OpenToonz another try. I've finished the whole project in OpenToonz, drawing additional frames, animating, coloring, setting up the background animation and post processing.
I've started during the summer. But I was not doing it regularly. Also switching to different programs consumed a lot of time.
I just wanted to do something goofy

Well, you're welcome and thank you to you too. I liked to read your answer. And then do you recommend for animation OpenToonz? Is it better that Krita in your opinion? I draw in Krita, but I didn't test to do one animation yet. What do you recommend to me if one day I want toΒ do one animation? ^^

My opinion about Krita's animations features is that the developers (or one specific developer) had an opportunity to add something animation related stuff to the program. It was a single episode followed by few series of bug corrections. After that major work force was put to other features. Krita never was and never will be a piece of software capable of creating animations on professional level. It is good for quick tests or simple animations.
OpenToonz (Toonz to be exact, OpenToonz is a version of Toonz that went open source) however is a piece of software used by commercial studio (Studio Ghibli) to create successful, fully featured animated movies (Princess Mononoke, Spirited Away, etc). For me, it's enough proof that OpenToonz is a software that can be used to create animations professionally. I choose OpenToonz.

Well I was once told by a friend of mine who is a pilot that any landing you walk away for is a good one! Of course he told me this while we were on final approach with failed landing gear... no worries we were fine the plane was wrecked though...

Wow! Great job, the animation is so smooth~ I really like the subtle movements in the legs and wings when they hit the ground. Especially in the way that you animated the mud.
