Hi. SpeedFan you can pretty much download, leave it running and that's all you have to do with it unless it's not showing temperatures properly for you.

You can download SpeedFan from here: [link]

Yeah...I think Siberian was my first Rainmeter skin upload, so it's pretty old and unrefined by now.
I might try to update it at some point and sort out any of the remaining issues with it.

Rasylver In reply to sideswipe5 [2010-09-25 17:57:49 +0000 UTC]

If you've just installed the fonts, you'll have to restart Rainmeter or Windows in order to pick up on the new fonts - once you've done that, it should work correctly.

One more thing: how do I get the fonts to work for this skin? If you'd like I can take a screenshot of what it looks like so you can see what I mean

👍: 0 ⏩: 2

Rasylver In reply to xxSHMEExxZIMxx [2010-06-17 18:16:17 +0000 UTC]

And if you want to use a different font and make it fit, you'll have to go into the configuration, look for the sections related to text on the screen and drop the font size listed there (and possibly change the position on the screen by changing the X-value for each relevant section).

Rasylver In reply to xxSHMEExxZIMxx [2010-06-17 17:51:23 +0000 UTC]

If you're not seeing the correct font, then that's probably why it's cutting off text for you. The font needed should be in the download, so install this and restart Rainmeter (or Windows if that doesn't fix it), then Rainmeter should pick up on the newly installed font and show everything correctly.

I love this skin! However I was having issues with the day. Since its a thursday, all it says is "HURSDAY"

It all seems cut off on the left side, i cannot see the "1" in "17 June 2010"

How do I fix? Please and thank you!

darkstar9924 [2010-06-13 01:14:37 +0000 UTC]

This is a pretty sweet skin. Just one question though, I can't quite figure out how to change the temps from Celsius to Fahrenheit? I did a little messing around, but was only able to affect the C and the F, but the temp is still in Celsius. I doubt that my core temperature is really 8 degrees Fahrenheit.

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Rasylver In reply to darkstar9924 [2010-06-13 11:33:30 +0000 UTC]

Hmm. I haven't tried to change this before and I can't really test it here (running Ubuntu at the moment until my laptop is repaired), but according to the Rainmeter manual if you add the following line, you should be able to get temperatures in Fahrenheit:

SpeedFanScale=F

Add it under the [MeasureGPU], [MeasureCore1] and [MeasureCore2] sections. Oh, and make sure SpeedFan is still providing Rainmeter with a temperature in Celsius as Rainmeter does the actual conversion.

Siu3d [2010-04-11 19:35:46 +0000 UTC]

I like it. Is there a way to change the time from a 24 hour clock to a 12 hour clock?

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Rasylver In reply to Siu3d [2010-04-11 21:19:59 +0000 UTC]

Sure. If you go into the config for it, look for a MeasureTime section near the top (should be called something like that) and where there's a format line beginning %H:%M, change the H to an I and refresh the skin.

I just wondered that i can't figure out how to get clockspeed to show it in ghz like your shows, i only get 2600mhz, i want it to show 2.60ghz

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Rasylver In reply to NuclearBlasshole [2009-08-11 21:53:46 +0000 UTC]

This skin just picks up the CPU speed directly from the registry as per:

[MeasureCPU3.txt]
Measure=Registry
RegHKey=HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE
RegKey=HARDWARE\DESCRIPTION\System\CentralProcessor\0
RegValuerocessorNameString

The actual registry key might contain different data on your system since you're using Vista instead of Win 7 like myself.You could check the registry key and see if that displays GHz or MHz if you're using the same key with no luck.

wonderful really
but to have the temperature of cpu,hardisk should i install a program?
or Rainmeter is enough

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

Rasylver In reply to mantrasiva [2009-06-05 18:12:13 +0000 UTC]

You'll need Speedfan installed and running - found here [link]
Once you have that you should be able to get the temperatures up (though you might have to change the values in the Rainmeter config for it first, I included details on that in the Readme file in the download).
As for the harddisk values, that doesn't need an extra program - no temperature gauge on that, though.

Rasylver In reply to karmat111 [2009-05-24 00:41:13 +0000 UTC]

Glad you like it. Hmm, interesting...

Ok, I made some alterations to the original file. Try pasting the following over the relevant section in the DateTime edit file and see if it helps:

[MeterDate]
Meter=STRING
MeasureName=MeasureDate
X=120
Y=150
StringAlign=CENTER
FontColor=#FontColor2#
FontSize=#FontHeight2#
FontFace=#FontName#
AntiAlias=1

[MeterTime]
MeasureName=MeasureTime1
Meter=STRING
X=120
Y=60
FontColor=#FontColor#
FontSize=#FontHeight1#
FontFace=#FontName2#
StringAlign=CENTER
AntiAlias=1

[MeterSeconds]
MeasureName=MeasureSeconds
Meter=STRING
X=60r
Y=3r
FontColor=#FontColor2#
FontSize=#FontHeight3#
FontFace=#FontName2#
StringAlign=LEFT
AntiAlias=1

If that doesn't help, try playing around with the numbers next to X on te above ones, that should fix it. If anyone else has problems with it, I'll upload some alterations.
