King had a very... rough upbringing. He never felt as if he belonged anywhere. Preferring to spending his time going out and playing with friendly pokemon that he could find. He stayed quiet when at home, hiding away at every opportunity if it meant staying out of the way of his parents. Guilt tripping and screaming filled his days, breaking him down until he had to turn to his comfort; his pokemon.
Many years of verbal abuse with high threats of physical made him desperate to run away, to find a better life for both him and his beloved Pokémon, so he could finally be happy. So he did, he packed what little items he had and left in the night, certain whatever was ahead of him was way better then what he was leaving behind.

He struggled, doing small jobs that could make ends meet. Living in a cramped apartment that he couldn't afford half the time. "This was the best option" he told himself, anything was better then the streets but with not enough income coming in, he had to turn to something else. He heard whispers about Team Zephry, what they wanted to achieve and... how they were going on about it. As he researched deeper and deeper... weeeelll he got kicked out from his crappy apartment. He had no choice but to turn to the whispers now. No going back.

That's when he found Team Zephyr, they offered to take him in when no one else could. Feed him, give him a roof over his head... he owed his life to them, right? Even isn't exactly too fond of the entire.. idea of his teams goal. He owed them for plucking him off of the streets.
He calms his nerves telling himself that the work he will be doing, the team that he will be helping is just trying to find a way to help people... help children who couldn't protect themselves.. children like him. He nervously accepts to lend his aid into the research, desperate to make a change. King has just joined Team Zephyr
