I've always picture Katniss as the ultimate heinz57. We only know she has olive skin and dark hair, so I always envisioned her as being such a mix of different ethnicities that it would be impossible to only assign one to her. This was one of my earlier drawings of Katniss, but the later versions I've drawn reflect this better.
