Description I just figured out that I can take my Finale Notepad files and turn them into audio files!

Wrote this a couple years ago. Flute, Cello, Mandolin and Organ. ;D What an interesting combination.

Title should tell it all.

Created on Finale Notepad 2008.

If you can play guitar, you can play the mandolin. It's sooo much easier than guitar. As long as your fingers work and can do chords, the basics are easy.

Darnnnn, that's fanasticcc! However, I'd probably change the organ to a piano. I know, I knoww.. the organ gives it that execution and dark sound.. but I feel like it takes away from the other instruments. ... and I've never liked the sound of an organ to begin with (that's besides the pointt d It would sound super pretty with piano, in my opinion but I don't know. You're not lookign for a pretty sound x3 I still think it's realllllllly goood, thoughh! ^^

Oh.. and I've actually never heard of a Mandolin until today... S: So it's like a banjo kind of or? Idunno.. I've honestly never heard of it beforeee. x3 Is that bad or are they uncommon and that would be normal? S: idunno. I learned something today! ;D Anywayyy, this is fantastic and I just don't understand how you people just randomly make up this musical stuff... like put all the notes and instruments together. S: Talent, I tell youuu! ^^

I did try changing the audio to piano for it once, and it sounded cool, but not the same, and not how I wanted it, so.. And I only like the organ if it's being creepy.. x3

It's like a tiny guitar with more strings ;D They're not that uncommon - I think Ernie Kings has one or two.

Ooh, I like this piece. I feel the mandolin could have been slightly louder, as it was hard to hear that part throughout the piece. Otherwise, you definitely got emotion across with the instrumentation!

Thanks I know what you mean with the mandolin. I meant it as a bit of an add on, like a decoration, and didn't want it to be too distracting. I'll keep that in mind, though - thanks for your input.

As different as the instrumentation is, for some reason it really worked for me. The cello served well to established the dreariness in mood you would have going into execution. And I liked that the mandolin offered a slight contrast to the feeling the cello established. I also liked the little flute embellishments added in throughtout.

Yeah, I've noticed that a lot of my old compositions have odd instrumentation. The sad part is that it's probably just because I thought "Oooh, cellos are beautiful, and mandolins are cool! Let's add an organ!"
