Description
A detailed version of the left diptych image. Originally based on the idea of Terror and Joy, I took some liberties with the theme to create a surreal and slightly autobiographical image. The left image is an expression of terror or fear and the possibility to grow from that as it merges with the right diptych image.
But don't take my word for it, i may have said to much.
Made in Photoshop CS the original print version is 12"x15" for a combined print size of 12"x15"
Quote in image:
"One of the hardest things in life is having words in your heart that you can't utter."
~James Earl Jones
Thank you to the resurgere team for providing three of the integrated textures and smoke:

The only thing you have to fear is fear itself...and spiders. Fuck spiders.

This reminds me of Dave McKean who did the art on the covers of The Sandman by Neil Gaiman. I liked those covers, and I like this. Very well done.

can I use this for a project for my digital imaging class? I will not distribute this and I won't claim it as my own, I am just using it for a Poster.
Thanks,
Brandon.

That's disturbing. At first I thought he was stabbing hs already wounded eye with a knife.

This reminds me of M.C. Escher's style, he's my favorite artist. ^^ I'm really amazed to see this level of expertise, it just blows my mind to think that someone can do this by manipulating a photo... Wish I had some kind of criticism to offer, but I'm not too knowledgeable about this kind of art. All I can say is "Amazing!" And I will be keeping an eye out for more.

I especially like the words you added to it. It is an interesting picture...i like the textures in it and the hand pulling down the eye. Hehe,...i am not a fan of horror, though, for i have experienced much of it in my OWN Life. (ugh). Maybe someday i will write a book, and become a millionare! LOL...
come check out the jewelry i design and make! Comments are always welcome.
