Description
A detailed version of the right diptych image. Originally based on the idea of Terror and Joy, I took some liberties with the theme to create a surreal and slightly autobiographical image. The right image is an expression of joy or the transformation of fear into hope.
But don't take my word for it, i may have said to much.
Made in Photoshop CS the original print version is 12"x15" for a combined print size of 24"x15"
Quote in image:
"Too often we... enjoy the comfort of opinion without the discomfort of thought. ~John F. Kennedy"
Thank you to the resurgere team for providing three of the integrated textures and smoke:

All other images and textures were photographed and scanned by me.

Forgive me if I over-analyzed!
Paradoxical, to say the least
"Born at night, dead by morning"
the paper at the top looks like dna strands, and the hands are female and male so the egg symbolizes human reproduction.
If looking from the bottom the keys unlock the future, but one is better to leave it locked. If the hands represent a male and female as two complete individual once upon a time in the lower half (darkness/life) the more they exist in the upper half (light/death), completeness of each become ruined and lose their soul to gain a new life and that represents the egg and the cycle starts again. A human sacrifice

Analyze away, its better then when people just fave it and leave without saying anything. Thanks for your thoughts. So symbolism you imply is shared by what I was thinking at the time, though your general idea is very different from my own, it still works perfectly with the image.
