No, sry he's not actually real. This is my personal costume that I made and use to promote the haunted woods walk I work with. His name is Balfor and he features a full muscle suit, digigrade stilt legs, and an articulating jaw. He has 2 fans integrated into his shoulders and one in the back of his head. I also wear a cooling vest made by Lion of the Sun here on DA. Even with all this, yes, he is VERY HOT to wear. Its worth it though. Very nice one indeed!Β I think itΒ΄s the back-laid position of the ears that makes the face so agressive- much better choice than upright. Very good overall proportions too.

They are just wood stilts with a shoe and a bungee. I then just foamed them in a realistic manner and did some extreme shaving.Β

I do plan on selling them in the not so distant future. This suit is very complicated, so I'm still working the kinks out of it. I'm still also trying to figure out how to keep it cool, because even with the cooling system in it, it's a sauna suit, and thats a liability. I'll probably start by selling partials,my friends are trying out a few stilt prototypes for me now. I'll announce in my journal when I'm open for commissions.

Eventually, yes I will be once the heat issue is solved, and I have made a few practice suits. I make a lot of costumes, but beast costumes I love best! I'm thinking of holding a contest for my first "public" suit. We'll see.

I love Balfor so much! He brings my werewolf to shame. XD If I ever make a werewolf costume again, I'm going to draw inspiration from this one. I absolutely LOVE how you did his feet, and I dig those fabulous mooscles.

I don't really have any critique to offer on this, it's pretty well done! Nice job.
The shoulders look a bit wide--I imagine that's due to the fans, but it just gives the character a really muscular appearance, so it works. Have you considered trying to put a fan in the mouth to help get some cool air coming in? Some people also add mesh vents in inconspicuous places, like the base of the ears and the armpits. That might help a bit with the heat.

There is actually a fan at the back of the head and the cooling vest I wear with this has a tube that I run up into the head in front of my mouth to get fresh air. The next step I think is to put a much more powerful fan in the vest. I do have some mesh vents, but could probably add more. I agree with you on the shoulders. I emptied them of most of the stuffing, but they still look big. I'll have to take them in. Thank you for the compliment and the suggestions! ^_^

So the cooling vest blows fresh air? I've only seen cooling vests that run water through tubes. That's pretty neat!

Yea it really did. I had to buy all the fabric for the muscle suit, the stuffing, the foam, airbrush paint, and the list goes on and on. To top it off, I bought high quality fur at 40 bucks a yard, and all the fans and electronics inside to cool the thing. Its ok, its by far my favorite costume to wear, and since I love it, I think its worth it ^_^

I'd guess 700-1000. The cooling vest was 350, the stilt frames were about 200. I bought an airbrish machine to color it, and I way overestimated on the amount of fabric I needed. Cha-ching! 00
