Description Come, you lost Atoms, to your Center draw
And be the Eternal Mirror that you saw:
Rays that have wandered into Darkness wide
Return, and back into your Sun subside.

[something new from me. Seeing *philipz 's interesting gallery I went straight to my photoarchieves to see if I had something similar. Found this sequence from last fall. Hope you like it ]

I love it, it's simple, yet the lighting is great. I love calm little ponds like this. they are all over the place where I live, I just wish I had more time to get out to them. The reflection in this pond is completely undisturbed and it's amazing. I just love how peaceful places can be when no one else is around. It really makes you appreciate the world. thanks for this piece of mind.

I love all three- but this one in particular strikes me. It feels like digging through something... some kind of challenge, to a nice reward at the end. Like struggling for one thing, and being rewarded with another- but the reward received is better then the one you aimed for.

Or maybe I'm just totally off

Either way, great image. Good job on all three of them.

thank you for this interesting comment mate. I didnt have a particular idea with this series, other than the reversed zoomed perspective. This is what makes it so fun to publish ones photos online. its really nice to read what other people can make of your stuff, know what i mean?
Thanks again

were I to choose one place to be alone and think about how the world really is, in all it's beauty, this would be one of those I would consider.

Absolutely fantastic!

I hardly lack in words when it comes to commenting, but this just takes my breath away! its so exactly my taste of dark and mystic art, the tones, the angle, the pure quality!

I am a bit jealous, so I will fave it and maybe some people think I made the photo when they to come my page then

j/k, +fav, well done my friend!

the darkness, it is too dark..
what do you think??
I know you love it, but still..

thanks for your comment. It might be abit too dark, but I wanted it to be the darkest of the three though. Maybe its also different depending on the screen you use?

Well, I think it is needless to say that you have an amazing eye for dark yet serene shots. It really takes a trained and tuned eye to capture such wonderful shots, and you never disappoint.

I gotta know Lars... where do you find all these amazing environments? From deserts to forests...

Great work as always!

thanks my friend. All the enviroments on my photos have been found within a 250 km radius. I guess Denmark has a kind of varied nature, although when you live here it appears dull and its flat as a pancake (highest point is 140 meters or something )

Of the three in the series, I like this one the most! It's got such great mystery and darkness, makes me think that something is gonna crawl up from that water and move towards the light... spooky... also I adore the reflection.

it's not too dark on my screen. well there's big darker areas, but there's light too, even pure white. i can see lots of shades too

i think the dark areas on the sides works in picture shot in a place like that. in my eyes this is a secluded little bond, hidden from the eyes of the masses - a mirror of eternity for those who can find it in themselves too.

nice composition, but it's too dark, or too low deiffrents betwen lights levels. but it will be always good photo.

Ooo. Very nice. I think this is my favorite of the three. The closeness of the forest is comforting while at the same time slightly foreboding. I think it's the water that does it; it brings to mind a dank otherworld that might not be as nice as the one the rest of the forest inhabits. Anyway, great stuff, all of it.

It could be my screen, but to me this looks a tad bit too dark. I can't see enough detail to be able to appreciate the beauty of this scene

👍: 0 ⏩: 1

londonxpress In reply to photocell [2004-01-16 17:09:34 +0000 UTC]

I agree - it looks like an extremely interesting place to shoot photos of, but it seems as if a lot of detail has been lost here - especially around the water!

I do enjoy the sepia toning though - I think it fits / complements the amount of detail that is present - especially the leaves!

Another aspect of the photo that is nice is how you've framed the water with the surroundings and found a balance between foreground and background~
