This is probably my favorite piece of yours. Not only is it a wonderfully composed, but more than anything, it shows off your complete mastery of the digital darkroom. On full-view, it just takes my breath away.
There are two galleries here at deviantART that I get completely, utterly lost in. Yours and * plasticastle 's. When I look at your photos, I don't see a photo at all. I see art. I see something magical. I see a depth that I cannot quite touch the bottom of.
And you know, that's the argument that I'd use against anyone who criticizes a piece like this for being too "manipulated." It was actually Michelle (plasticastle), who shared with me this quote from Ansel Adams: "The negative is the equivalent to the composer's score, and the print, the performance."
With this piece here, my friend, you've created a symphony.
