The texture, like said above, does make it look like a painting. And the clouds, like it most of your wonderful pictures, are so big and dark. Love it.

I think the texture really works on this shot. It's already a dark, brooding, cold photo. Adding the textures really heightens those feelings for me. I also really like the almost-total lack of colour. Really nice work.
