i looked it up cause i'm a nerd lol... they literally are the same thing lol... doves are sometimes unofficially associated with smaller birds... i also read pigeons are associated with the multicolored species, but this again isn't official (maybe because dove and pigeon isn't even the official scientific name for the birds lol) but other than that, they're the exact same thing...
Just thought I'd throw out some nerdiness...
