[alright folks! Schatt wanted to see what Fox and the gang were up to while Kate and Brady were gone. and the answer is, lots of particular combat training. as will be told here in this chapter... lets find out what else is going on...]

Fox's Log:

Krystal had been gone for quite some time. I could kind of hear her and brady talking on a balcony a few rooms down.
they talked for a long time. then I saw a small flash of light out of my window.

I jumped up in surprise.

it was quiet, their voices were quiet after that.
then I heard a door open and footsteps down the hall.
it got quiet, then the door to our room opened.

Krystal walked in, with a look of confusion, happiness and deep thought.

she sat down in a chair close to my bed.
we all looked at her.

"Krystal, what is it?" I asked her.

she remained quiet.
he looked up at the others, then at me.

"i... its quite something..." she said

I nodded.

the others leaned in more intently.

she almost seemed out of breath.
she looked at me again, here eyes were shimmering.

"Brady, is my grandfather." she said right out.

we were all quiet.

then Slippy broke the silence.
"you are kidding right?" he asked

she shook her head.
"I know, for a fact." she said

she looked back at me again.
"my mother was one of his daughters." she said

I was taken aback.
"wow...." I said

Krystal nodded with a smile.

Falco put a hand to his forehead.
"bugh... how can that be possible!?! I mean, he is like... a human thing, and your mother must have been a-" he began

"a wolfen actually." Krystal said

I shook my head.
"wait, I thought you were a Foxen." I said

Krystal laughed
"sorry fox, I should have told you, I am part Foxen and Part Wolfen... I took more of the Foxen attributes from my fathers side."

"but that still doesn't answer my question!!!" Falco shouted.
"how could, you, come from a human!?!" Falco asked

Krystal shook her head.
"no, Brady is not a human..." Krystal said

she grew quiet.
"he is not a being of our galaxy, neigh our universe... he dubbed himself as an "Omni." Krystal said

Falco looked utterly confused.
"never mind, I am going to bed." he said

"yeah, catch you all later." Slippy said

after they left. Krystal looked at me.
I was perplexed.

"so... do you have some kind of special powers or something?" I asked

she shrugged, "my father worked in the magical arts. but my mother, worked more with... spiritual powers..." she said

she smiled and kisse dme on the forhead.
"g'night fox, see you in the morning." she said as she left the room.

as I slept that night, I was thinking about all I had heard... Kryastal, related to this being. what could this mean for the future?

the next day, I awoke to the sun coming into my room.

then suddenly Krystal burst into my room.
"KATE IS GONE!" she said

"what!?!" I said

"and Brady to!" she said

"well, did you see the king yet?" I asked her.

she apused
"well, um... no." she said

"well I will join you in a minute," I said

she closed the door as she left and I quickly got dressed.
I joined her out in the hall and we quickly headed to the meeting room where Kate and Brady went to last night.

two saurian guards stood by the door.

"please! we must speak with the king!" Krystal said

the two tall saurians mooved aside and opened the door.
we went in and the king was just coming in.
"ah, young canine warriors. welcome." he said

"your highness, we are here to inquire on where Kate and, Brady have gone." Krystal said

the king took a deep breath.
" they have gone, Brady is taking Kate to the trial of the Arbiters. to see if she is truly the Arbitress spoken in legend." the king said

Krystal stood there for a moment.
"I see, when are they to return?" she asked

"it will be some time, but not to long. we have war on our doorstep, and they need to return before the eve of battle." the king said

Krystal looked at me, I looked at her, then we both looked at the king.

"what can we do to help?" I asked

I took a deep breath.
"we are willing to fight." I said

the king smiled proudly.
"you are of noble hearts. you and the rest of your crew. we would be honored to have you all join us at our sides in battle." the king said

Krystal and I smiled.

"but, we need to see if you are capable of taking on the dark solders in hand to hand combat." the king said

I thought
"we are willing to learn all your people have to teach us." I said

the king nodded.
"excellent, please, follow me." he said

we followed him down the great halls.
we then entered the observatory over a massive arena, covered in various obstetricals, shrubs, plant life and debris of ships.

"this is the training dome, for training of all rankings. if you and your team wish to participate training combat against some of our fellow saurians." the king said.

I nodded.
"I am ready for all you can give me!" I said

"very well." he said
he led me to an elevator and I went down alone.

it landed on the ground and I entered the arena.
it was quiet, no one else was in the arena.

"we only do one on one combat practice for beginners. so please pic your opponent." the king said

then from the air, three intimidating saurians came crashing in, close in front of him, all a good 15 feet tall.
then a somewhat smaller one came in beside them, about 6 feet tall.

I lightly laughed
"him." I said, pointing to the smallest one.

but I soon regretted it.

"very well!" the king said over the intercom.

the other three saurians quickly left the arena.
the little saurian took a battle stance.

I was given a mace ended battle staff to use as a weapon.
I cahrged at him, but he dodged like lightning.
this dodge and weve continued for some time.

"annoying little bugger." I mumbled

then i got one lucky hit on his face.
he whipped around and did an air recovery.
he hit the ground, and his eyes began to glow.

he suddenly exploded in size, he was now a 30 foot tall juggernaught.

he roared a massive bellow at me.
"ah snap..." I said.

he attacked me with massive swings and punches.
I attempted to dodge many a times.
I hit him but the weapon seemed to do no avail.

the battle continued for a long time, I was getting tired.
then, I noticed a light spot on the bottom of the saurian's neck.

I did some massive dodging and weaving and slammed my mace in his jugular.

the saurian gagged and coughed and took a few stepps back.
hacking and coughing he stopped. he shook his head and breathed heavily.
he looked at me and then bowed.

I returned the bow, in a surprise.

"well done!" the king was heard over the intercom.

"but mind you, Silvrok was going easy on you, remember to keep an eye on an opponent and always look for a weak spot." the king said

I smiled, feeling victorious.

we continued on with our training exercises. all of us got turns practicing. we got better and better, learning new techniques.

I could tell we still had a lot to learn.

[and we learn more... Fox and the team are gaining more experience though the Saurian ways. and Kate and Brady are making their way to the Arbiter's temple. and Wolf is being torn between his money, and his family... what will happen next? stick around to find out.]
