Here's a painted portrait of Tom Cat from the classic cartoon series "Tom and Jerry"! I'm a huge fan of these shorts, so I just had to paint him. I may or may not do Jerry, who knows?

So, I downloaded Hushcoil's Krita brush pack, and I think I've found myself a new favourite preset! The Basic Flat Smooth brush has such a nice painterly texture, with rich and visible brushstrokes, which I've been trying to incorporate into my paintings more (but not with much luck...). I used that preset for the majority of this painting, with some dabs with the Basic Flat Stiff brush for fine details. I absolutely adore the results I got, and I'm excited to experiment more with this workflow in the future.
