Um, wow, thanks very much. I actually didn't care much for this pic. xD; I'm really glad someone likes it though, and thank you kindly for the compliments (just what my ego needs right now ). It's also wonderful to meet a fellow comic Titans fan, I'm almost getting sick of all the animated stuff (even though I love it to pieces ).

Haha yeah, I think it's great! And you're right, there needs to be more comic love! Now don't get me wrong, I enjoy seeing all the animated pictures as I'm a fan of the show as well, but rarely do I see work from the comic. That's why I really found this piece enjoyable. Not only is it the comic Raven, but it's a very well done piece in general. Definitely compliments the comic and the whole Terror of Trigon storyline. ^_^ I really hope you don't decide to scrap it. It's one of the few comic pieces I've seen in a while and like I said before, it's awesome!

Most definitely! I love the animated series to death, but I love the comics even more (wow, what's that tell you? *nerd*), which is why it's so frustrating when you can't find any good pics for it. Ah well, I can't complain, as I have just found this totally awesome artist who draws the comics Titans/Young Justice : . (Methinks you'll like her )

And thanks so much for posting that artist! They really do have some wonderful artwork! Good call on my opinion of their work. I'll have to drop by one of their pics and leave a comment. ^^

Also, no problem for the compliment on the picture! I really do hope to see more of your work! And not only am I a big fan of the 80's Titans, but the 60's/70's ones were awesome as well! If you'd like to check out some of the comics, I'd recommend buying the Teen Titans Showcase volume. There's 2 out right now, and even though the comics are printed in black and white, you get over 500 pages! The price is very easy to swing, around $16 I believe. Anyways, if you're into some goofy stories, along with the 1970's atmosphere, and basically just the idea of a bunch of friends hanging out who have superpowers and fight crime when the time comes, you'll really get a kick out of the stories! In one of the issues, the original Teen Titans (Robin,Speedy,Aqualad, Wondergirl, and Kid Flash) were reading some fan mail and a fan asked if Wondergirl could come over to his house and use her Amazon strength to flatten his records because they got warped. xD Unlike the 80's Titans, the original ones are less 'drama' filled, and are just basically about Teens having fun and keeping justice. You should really check them out.

And if you got hooked onto the older Teen Titans comics maybe you'd consider drawing some art of them. I'd totally be down for seeing that! Because you know how hard it is to find the 80's Titan artwork, let alone the even older ones!

Ah yes, I've seen several of those books around the local comic shop, I was always just too busy buying all the newer ones. xD; I'll have to check those out as soon as I get some cash. *is broke * They definitely sound like somethig I'd enjoy, since I'm bored to death with all the current emo-drama they're writing. D: Anyhoo, thanks oodles for the reccomendation, I'll definitely look into those.

Oh, now there's an idea. I can't tell you how much of an itch I have to draw the 80's Titans, but I've got a mountain of requests to do. >.< I'll try to work some in along with the requests. :3 Methinks I've made a new friend! *stalks*

And you're welcome for the recommendation! I swear, the original Teen Titans is perfect for what you're looking for. I know what you mean about the emo-infested comics of today. I have picked up a few of the recent TT comics and although I'm pretty much lost on all of them (since it's a continuation from where the last one left off) the characters are always brooding, or either having sex. Definitely not my idea of a good story. Plus I can't stand the way females are drawn in the comic world today. It's just downright pathetic how an artist STRAINS to make a character look 'sexy' when they really just look er well skanky. (Please forgive my wording, but it's the first thing that comes to mind. xD) That's why I haven't gotten deep into the current Teen Titans comic.

I'll stick with the 60s-80s, and eventually move on up from there. And I must mention that the artwork of the original Titans is really amazing. I love Nick Cardy's work. He could draw Wondergirl to look great, (and to the guys, sexy lol) without looking skanky. When an artist can respect both genders of the human body in their work, while still make it so appealing, they're top notch in my book! In the Showcase volumes, his work really makes the story that much better. Plus one more thing about his work is that he doesn't use the typical 'steroid muscle' look that artists choose for their characters today. The Titans actually have the bodies of what any average person could get if they worked out every once in while. Just everything about the Teen Titans from the 60's/70's really makes you connect with the characters. It's like, besides the whole superpowers thing, they could really be people you'd meet on the street and hang out with at a 'groovy' rock concert. I guess it's really obvious I'm a Titan fangirl huh? xD

And oh man, when you're done with your requests, I really hope to see some comic work from you! You can count on me to drool over any pieces you choose to do! And me-knows I've made a new friend!

I couldn't agree with you more on that subject. The current comics are completely and utterly pathetic, to be blunt. The stories are good (Geoff Johns was great, but the current stuff just plain sucks) and there are the occassional good artists, but other than that, I often ask myself why I waste my money. And speaking of women appearance, they've gone and completely and utterly destroyed the last of Raven's originality/dignity. Don't know if you've peeked at her new mini-series, but they've given her midriff clear up to her boobs. O_O Disgraceful, I tell you. I will forever curse the name of Damion Scott, who has destroyed the last of Raven's character (appearance-wise). Anyway, yes, I will forever be devoted, heart and soul, to the 80's comics. And don't worry about catching up on the current TT comics, you're not missing much.

I'm all up to snuff with the current stuff, and it just plain sucks. The 80's will forever be my favorites (especially when George and Marv were doing them ). I've seen some of Nick Cardy's art, and I completely agree with you, it's incredible. It seems we share many of the same opinions in the definition of a 'good artist'. And there's nothing wrong with being a total Titans fangirl, I can relate whole-heartedly. My family is sick to death of my Titan talk.

You can count on that. I've gotta catch up on my homework, then I plan to draw some stuff to relax, so you might see some even sooner. (no promises though >.> <.< )

Haha man we have identical opinions! You're right about the stories being good but when that less than average artwork is attached to it, it's hard to enjoy an overall comic. I sometimes wonder why I pay money for my comics too. xD Luckily, I've found my niche in comics with the older stuff, so I rarely ever buy any new stuff anymore. Really, the only new comics I buy are Teen Titans Go! and Archie comics. Gotta love Archie. After a trip to a comic shop, it's rare that I feel like I ended up going home with less than I paid for. And thanks for giving me the heads up on the current Titans comic. I thought I wasn't missing much.

Oh and it's funny you should mention the new Raven miniseries. I of course (being a Titan fan) had to pick it up, despite the warning signs of the cover....and the actual term emo used on it. x.x Anyays, I was less than thrilled with the artwork. I downright hated it. It's too funky for my tastes, plus I can't even see what's fully going on in one page. It's way too chaotic! Now I'm not discrediting Damien Scott for his type of artwork, I can appreciate the creativity, but when I'm reading that comic book, I just really can't stand his art. Unfortunetly that gives me a biased opinion on his style since it ruined the image of a character we all like. I just wish they chose another artist for that project. His work does not fit Raven at all.

Luckily we have the 80's to help rescue us from this type of stuff! (And I agree, Perez and Wolfman=genius combination) And we also have more past decades to rescue us as well. (I'm in love with Batman comics of the 40's too).

Either way, I don't know what's up with the comics industry today, but it honestly sucks. And you know what else I must gripe to you about? xD Not only is it hard to find a comic you like, but when you actually do, it's either canceled, or goes through a huge plot change so much to the point of not even recognizing any of the characters anymore! A usual huge plot change involves characters dying and whatnot, and who wants to continue reading a comic when their favorite character died? The comic industry is all about "Wowing" us with random plot twists and turns, when ultimately it just ruins the dynamic/stability of a comic. It's like a soap opera in comic form. x.x

Anyways, now that I'm done ranting about that (lol), my parents also get sick of my Titan talk too haha! I'm glad I've found someone to talk to this about. My parents don't read comics so they don't really understand anything I'm saying.

And yay! Can't wait to see some work! And don't worry, I won't hold it against you if you don't have time to draw any. I know what it's like to be swamped with homework and have little free time! Things got so hectic that I even gave up writing my Titans fanfic (we've already clarified I'm a nerd right? ) Anyway, good luck with your homework. Talk to you later.

Me too! I've never read those books, but everyone I know says they're really good, I'll have to look into that when I get my reading interest back. My favorite song is Memories, but Angels and See Who I Am are excellent songs too. Aw heck, I love all their songs.
