*claps* ^_^; Im embarrassed, but I really like poems. I watched the animation to better understand the poem. It reminded me of Menchi from Excel Saga... Which makes me feel bad for that poor animal... *sigh* Very nice though. It was short, but so cute! The flash was nicely made, Im surprized you have time to look at so many's work! Keep up the awesome work!

The vocabulary you used is very thoughtful. I can tell this wasn't a haphazardly written piece just from that. You've done an excellent job actually making the entire poem a whole, which is sometimes difficult with shorter patterns.

I appreciate your input as a writer ^__^ What's funny is that while I favor cinquains, I also like sestinas as well.

Ah, I do like sestinas. You can really play out a story with that pattern, and it's even moreso interesting when you have words with double meanings.

Since I was practically brought up on Shakespeare, I don't mind formulaic poetry. But if you were accustomed to more free-form, then its not difficult to see where they might be a problem. Sestina do require a lot of attention to detail and requirements to meet.

It was all for creative writing. I thought my anthology would be easy until my teacher told me that only 3 poems could be free from. I think my soul might have momentairily left my body.

That sounds rather daunting. I've had to jump through the same sort of hoops during highschool, but I usually manage to pull off some surprising work.

I actually used some pretty underhanded tactics ^^'
Make the teacher cry and BOOM, almost instantly you get a good grade. I even managed to get out of the exam for that class because of my average.

I've done the same thing on a few occasions, although most of what I write isn't intended to sound depressing, and definitely not self-pitying. Misunderstanding is just a product of thought, though. I don't mind it if I'm interpreted differently.
But every once in a while you have to keep your teacher from bawling...

I think overall I may have slipped two or three pieces into the anthology that were meant to do that. They were all pieces that I had gotten some more emotional feedback on so I figured they would do the trick. I was nice though, I put in something about my last national karate tournament because she liked that sort of thing.

Oh, that's neat. A teacher who's a martial artist buff. Life is more interesting with teachers who have some kind of quirk to them. I had a chemistry teacher once with a whole lot of tattoos and a shaved head. He was a very strange guy, but we had a lot in common.

Actually I trained under her in Judo until it seriously began to have bad effects on my Kenpo style. She was a really nice woman and always interested in how I was doing with my karate.

That's an odd circumstance, an English teacher who can take down someone twice her size. It's easier to want to please a teacher when you connect with them on a level that's not academic.

At that point, you'd prefer them not to think bad of you rather than worry over what grade you're getting. I've always found it easier to study under a teacher whom I felt some manner of friendship with.

That tattooed teacher I had practiced guitar with me afterschool sometimes. He was really good at adapting old music to electric guitar. We used to annoy so many administrators by making that much noise.

I would enjoy annoying the administrators at my old school like that. I've had a few cool teachers to make up for the ones I detested, one of them even went off to be an FBI agent (I'm sworn to not name names). Some classes were more looked forward to other's, and not just because I had friends in them. (Rue and I failed a semester of math passing notes one time though ^^')

Math was probably one of my least enjoyed subjects. All of the teachers I had were breathtakingly one-dimensional to me. I never had much fascination for numbers, so other than what was necessary, I never looked too far into mathematics. Ah, but I enjoyed geometry to a certain degree. It's easier to relate to, because everything you can lay your eyes on is an example of living geometric law.
But I always liked the more supple subjects of school. History, in which we don't know every detail and are constantly enthralled in them. There are things yet to be discovered that I'd love to see, the Lighthouse of Alexandria is my biggest interest at the moment. English, in which you can create the most potent of descriptions just by switching interchangeable terms, or explain complex ideas for the sake of simplicity.

I ended up taking an extra semester of Algebra II in my senior year even though I didn't need too. I just didn't want another study hall. I'd have to say that my favorite subject of study was Vo-Ag... well if Team Sports doesn't count that is. Math and myself dont click. There's so many applications to it and yet more than half of them won't be used by the average person. I don't think evreyone will be a rocket scientist.

Oddly enough, I enjoyed P.E. classes when I was in highschool. I don't seem very athletically inclined, but I am pretty good at some sports. According to the general consensus, males with as many piercings as I have shouldn't be able to catch a football. Let's not even get into further evidence by bringing up my personal preferences, shall we?

I had to deal with the gender differences during football myself, until the guys figured out that I could actually make a touchdown. I think it was from all the "Kill the Carrier" and "Backyard Tackle" that I played with my friends at the afterschool parties we sometimes had. I still dislike the percieved differences in gender though, even after it's admited that you're good.

One of those things that will be outdated in time, I'm sure. If I can be good at football, I'd bet any female could. Except I can't stand being tackled, so I avoid that as much as possible.

I believe that's how I got so fast. It was the innate desire to not be thrown to the ground by someone twice my size. Two of the actual players on the school team asked me to try out for it but I declined. I was outweighed by too much, they would've crushed me.

Precisely. Broken bones aren't an encouraging thought. And while it sounds egotistical, I don't want to get any unnecessary scars. So I usually played positions where I had the best advantage to run and dodge rather than get slammed into the ground.

Oddly enough, when I wasn't playing a wide reciever, I was playing quaterback. However I did set it up so I had excellent (and rather large) guards, and most of the time I ran it up the middle. I did take a couple of good slams though even then and got the wind knocked out of me.
Yeah, I don't blame you for not wanting any scars, I'm the same way.
