Eternal guardian of the forestWhose pale eyes glow from the shadows
Running with the wind, fluid and sleek
Your fangs alone make the law
With the stars reflecting off your coat
Of burnished silver fire
Your ears are alert and forward
As a howl echos in the distance
Standing alone, watching through the night
As the moon travels the path of the sky
Unknown, unseen, but forever needed
Wolf...protector of the forest
Protect the weak, join the strong
Pass the birthright to your young
Wolf...guardian of the forest
May you always remain eternal

Well you may not be able to own a wolf but you can own a Native American Indian Wolf Dog. they are a dog breeded from german shepard, akida, and 2 others i forget, but they look exactaly like a wolf! size and everything! They have been breeded so that filmers could use them as a wolf in american indian films.

i'm very partial to wolves
my best friend has two of them that he calls "petS";
although they are free to come and go as they please, they tend to stay inside and around the house
but either way, wolves should remain undomesticated.
but they are fun, when given mutual respect !!

Aye, wolves truly are guardians to those of need. As for a pet wolf...I couldn't keep one as a pet. They do well in the wild, I'd much prefer keep them there. Beautiful poem indeed.

about you wanting to own a wolf i am gonna say they arent a walk in the park to take care of i had to take care of one for my nieghbor who owned it and it was scary buisness entering the cage to clean the cage and put food in knowing a 180 pound wolf could jump u at any moment
