Do you happen to have the 3d model used to make this schematic? I'm trying to model a more heavily-armed version of the Gozanti with four additional dual laser turrets and twelve Millennium Falcon-style quad laser turrets. Here's a quick MS Paint edit to show you what I mean:

Thanks so much for your interest.  This looks like a very cool project!  But currently I am not sharing 3d models.

Sorry to hear that. I did find a low-res Gozanti model and a quad laser turret I can use, which resulted in this amateurish Blender mashup:

It looks pretty cool to me!  I like the idea of a heavily armed Gozanti.

So do I. I recently upgraded the model with a Millennium Falcon quad-laser model, but then I realized the size would make it more of a heavy blaster cannon if mounted on the Gozanti. I also found another up-gunned model on Sketchup with a fully-modeled interior:  3dwarehouse.sketchup.com/model…

Just a question: the TIE fighter deployment chutes can also serve as landing gear, or they retract into the cargo area before landing (or if no TIE's are carried) and using the default landing gear?

That is a good question.  I don't know if there is a good "official" answer to that question.  I haven't found a lot of detailed canon technical information about this ship.  From the images that I have seen, the "deployment chutes" as you call them are not located in the same places as the landing gear.  So it seems like the chutes would likely retract, and allow the landing gear to do its job.  That would be my guess.  That would allow the deployment chutes to remain a piece of specialize docking equipment, which sort of makes sense.

On the other hand, we do know that those chutes can also be used to deploy 2 AT-AT walkers at the same time.  So they must be very sturdy, so . . . who knows?

And dropping the giant metal camels (AT-AT) from like 2 meters to the ground. Also, not sure if you know about these great deckplans (look at the all specific link at the bottom of the image):
community.fantasyflightgames.c…

Upon these, I assembled a personal Gozanti, called the "Black Shroud" (name given by a friend of mine), to be a vessel for 3 friends in an RP. I titled the RP "Star Wars: Heritage of the Past". Since the main artwork isnt my job, I dont really have the right to upload anywhere, but I guess it's okay to show you via Sta.sh.

Yeah, those are beautiful deck plans, aren't they?  He did a beautiful job with that.

Sure, I'd love to see the Black Shroud, if there is an appropriate way to share it.

Yeah, but for a bulk cruiser, she's a beauty!

Love how they brought a new explanation as to how the walker's are deployed.

Yeah, these ships must have some serious lift capacity!  BTW: What was the old explanation for how they deployed walkers?  Empire Strikes Back cleverly avoids the whole subject completely.  I vaguely remember that there was some unsatisfactory explanation offered by Lucasfilm, but I can't remember what it was.  Do you recall what the old explanation was?

They had a large transport ship that resembled a huge box-thing and it delivered the walkers because it had a hanger below it.

I like the gozanti. It is a perfect ship for a freighter captain.

Ravendeviant In reply to Daniel-McKnight [2017-01-24 21:42:22 +0000 UTC]

Yeah, for a freighter, the Gozanti is pretty darn cool!  The fact that it can haul 4 TIE fighters or 2 Imperial Walkers under its belly doesn't hurt either.  I guess that's why it also qualifies as an Assault Carrier.

Yep. If the Gozanti would be real, it would be my mobile home and I would explore our solar system, even beyond it. It would be fun, if our solar system is actually in the unknown regions of the SW galaxy.

Well, I already did a rendering of the Ghost.  Check it out at:  ravendeviant.deviantart.com/ar…  The B-Wing is an excellent suggestion!  Were you more interested in action images or 3-view schematic images?

Thanks for your interest.  I don't have any plans to make the "extra engines" version at this time, but I'll keep that suggestion in mind.

Ya I think it's called the broken horn. Plus maybe the various clone wars series transports?

I'm hoping to get the Fantasy Flights replica of the Broken Horn in the next few weeks.  After I have that for reference, I'll consider whether or not to proceed with building that ship.
