In a lightning-fast move, Synn lunges forward with his darksaber. Rath skillfully attempts to parry, but Synn deftly deflects the move, and continues forward, bringing the two adversaries face to face.

It is over.

For a moment, the shock of his defeat leaves the Darkside master speechless in disbelief. He had not even considered the possibility of losing to this fear-addled inferior. He had no idea that his advanced armor would be utterly ineffective against a darksaber. Finally, he finds the proper words to respond to the moment.

“C-commander. . .” he gasps into his comm-unit, “F-fire on the orphanage.” With his final words, Rath takes his revenge out on Synn, by giving the order to the crew of the walker to destroy the innocents in the orphanage. A moment later, the dim red glow from within his goggles fades. His lightsaber deactivates as he slumps over, then pitches over the edge of the walker.
