Description
I was curious to see what the classic '66 Barris Batmobile might look like with a modern "stealthy" or "tactical" paint job makeover.Related content

There is a fellow in Lawrence, KS who recreated this vehicle and drives it during parades.
Interesting is the fact that George Barris took an original concept car of his creation and turned it into this Batmobile.

I would love to get one of these and drive it in parades too! Maybe I'll do that when I retire!

The fellow who had built it had another halfway completed in his muffler shop, but he hadn't touched in ages. He said he was going to try and finish it up some day. Now his shop is no longer there and I have no idea if he moved or simply closed the doors.

Man-This is a Classic! I remember watching this show back in the early 70's when I was growing up and I actually met Adam West at a Battlestar Galactica convention in California. It was funny since I was volunteering to man a table for the Battlestar Fan Club and he was at his table directly in front of me. Small world.

Omg, I swear that I had an old car toy when I was little and it was exactly this car!

Thanks so much for your very nice comment!
Just to be clear, I still LOVE the original paint job (with all of its red stripes and chromy goodness) but I just had to see what it might look like with a fresh paint job, and some more modern design cues. I know that I'm just dreaming, but I'd love to see this "stealthy/tactical version" make an appearance in an Arkham game, an animated movie, or a live-action movie.

Yes, that would be cool!
I love all your tactical designs/blueprints by the way! That would make an awesome book, or many books! I have many Batmobiles blueprints in official books, but I also love seeing fan made concepts!

Thanks for the kind words!
Yeah, I'll bet I have some of the same blueprint books in my personal library! I love to create images that would easily fit into just that kind of book. (I would love to get some of these images published.) As you say, a collection of fan-made concepts would be awesome! Someone should do that. Until they do, at least we have all of the wonderful images on Deviantart.
