Update of [link]Going into the colors for Pit's boxing attire, I thought to keep most of it in tune with his toga. But I did make one unfortunate mistake- I meant to do the straps on the gloves gold, but I forgot partway threw, and made them red- I tried to erase what I could, but it would not come off completely, but looking at now, it comes off as a darker kind of gold than what I used for the pattern on the trunks and sandal buckles.
If I should do more pics of this, I will have to remind myself to keep the strap gold, and maybe find a navy blue for Pit's tights. Other than that, I tried to keep things simple. THoughts aside, I might do one for Dark Pit (or Pitoo, as most of use refer to him as...
)t, in the future, once I've sorted out a number of things.Pit belongs to Nintendo.

One thing I was always curious about- how would it be like if Mac ever fought someone shorter than himself.
Pit may be a bit of a dork, but he's no slouch in fighting.
Kinda made me wish they put in some boxing gloves for brawler weapons in KI: Uprising- that would have made for a funny joke for Palutena to coin Doc Louis on joining Club Nintendo.

A dork it may be, but aside fighting hordes of monsters, he's taken down two gods- not many folks can make that claim.
Palutena is as much a troll and smart aleck as she does advise and aid Pit.

You know, it's been ages since you've drawn this, I was thinking, how about drawing Pit again, but in different poses?

You know, I myself have figured Pit would be an interesting guest in Punch Out!!, the only issue being he is 13 appearance wise and I'm not sure Nintendo is up for showing 13 year olds get beaten in a boxing match...but then it's fine to show him hurt by spikes and everything else. XD I like the creative licensing you took here, yet still kept Pit's design faithful and believable. Too many people like to ignore the original appearance for their new outfit, but you've been very respectful here and it all fits nicely. You know, I actually think the Brawler Claws should have been replaced with Little Mac's Boxing Gloves. That would have been a cool throwback to Punch Out. I wonder what his quotes and animations would be Punch Out wise? I bet he'd have 'THEN DO LET US GET TO THE FISTICUFFS!' ala Uprising. 
On the subject of fangirls, I think Dark Pit has the upper hand. After all, his power of flight runs forever, so he can just fly away with it if he wins, leaving poor Pit as the only thing for fangirls to have. Whereas if Pit wins, he'd still get harassed by them. Can't wait to see you draw Dark Pit, and maybe even some pictures of the two of them doing an actual fight if you think that's up your alley. Nice work!

I liked teh Brawler Claws, but yeah, Mac's gloves would have been a fun homage to Punch Out. I can just imagine a side converstaion over them:
Palutena: Aren't those a strange type of claws, Pit?
Pit: These aren't claws, Lady Palutena, these are boxing gloves.
Palutena: Who's your opponent, then? Glass Joe? That reminds me- I've some advice for you.
Pit: What's that?
Palutena: Join Club Nintendo today, Pit!

Hahah, and with Palutena being quite fond of food, I could see her eating space kraken to recover Pit's health like with Doc Louis' chocolate bars.
You make a good point with Link. I think whatever Pit ends up winning is going to end up scooping hearts from the loser; that'd probably be his win animation in a Punch Out game. XD Dark Pit definitely isn't as dopey...in Super Punch Out, one boxer can jump on the turnbuckle and fly across the ring, kicking you in the face and it's a one hit KO if it lands. Dark Pit would likely have a move like that, especially as he has KO'd the Underworld Gatekeeper with an incredibly similar move in Uprising! Looking over your project (it's quite good, I have to commend you on it) I think you should do whatever your current schedule permits you. It'd be interesting though; Dark Pit doesn't seem as nice as your current rival boxer and would probably be much more intent on knocking Pit out of the ring. It'd help you work different personalities for characters and provide different drawing prospects for how they would behave as well as different moves to draw, but that's me. I'm not that much of a drawer anyway. XD Do what you want, again~

Yeah, I was thinking to draw Dark Pit a bit more aggressive. You hit the nail on the head regarding prospects on behavior- their gestures can say just as much with words.
Far as I know, at this time, I do plan to have Dark Pit as as something of a rival, but not for me. I did a bit with DP, so I have a small idea of how to handle his personality, it would only be a question of matching movements and gestures to go with it. That way, he doesn't come off as just anotehr pallete swap.
I haven't figured out a rival character, at this time, but that is something I should consider, at the last.
In regards to my schedule, I try to doodle a little, every day, but I make it a point to get priorites done (school stuff) before pleasure. T

Well, Pit is an angel, I don't know if they age... then again, Pit's been around for 25 years, so I think despite his kid-like appearance, he's got some senority under him.
As for the idea of 13 year olds getting beaten up, I think it's a bit too late for that- Link's been running around Hyrule at such a tender age- getting sliced at, blasted with magic, mobbed by the living dead, fighting incarnations of pure evil, and dodging vengeful cuccoes: Compared to all that, a boxing match would be the lesser of those evils, I would think.
As for Dark Pit, I do think he has two advantages- girls tend to favor the bad boys, and he's not as dopey as Pit is. Since I've almost finished a longterm project of mine, I'm musing over what to do next, wit DP in boxer gear, and maybe a fight with them, depending on a number of things (school and work, mostly).

Yeah. I remember the original NES game, I checked it out over 10 years ago. Outside SSSB, Pit had not seen any action in 25 years- he made quite a resounding return.
In all honestly, I never thought I'd see myself drawing Pit. Yet his personality and records of demons and gods taken down sounded just about right for this.

I never played as him on Super Smash Bros because I played as Lucario, Pikachu, Sonic and the Pokemon trainer.
But I have battled Pit and he is strong.

He's pretty light, but his flight makes it easy for him to escape a premature drop off the screen. And yeah- Pit's quite the scrapper. THough that's been offset by the fact that in spite of his wings, he can't fly on his own.

Given that they allow manhole covers to be used as shields and a fighter with genie-like powers, I would assume so.

Maybe, maybe not. I often wondered what would happen if Mac ever fought someone smaller than himself, and I'm thinking if it ever happened, Pit would make for an interesting opponent: He's good at dodging, can get in some good combos, and Pit has potential for a lot of endurance and stamina, given all the monsters that the Underworld Army throws at him. At the same time, Pit has fought in a similar vein to Mac- both have fought considerably larger opponents.
If Next Level games decided to make that sequel to Punch-Out, I'd love to see them put in Pit as a guest opponent, since he'd be an antithesis to what what Mac is used to.

This picture is an official K.O.! You know, looking at this picture, I fell sort of sorry for Pit because not only has he faced an entire army of monsters, aliens from another dimension, dark gods, and now boxers bigger than him, there's one group of opponents that he's going to have a hard time trying to fend off, and that's fan girls! Yup, since that one scene in Kid Icarus: Uprising, the girls have gone nuts over him! Now with this picture, he better pray to Palutena that have her drag him out of the ring before they drag him down!

The question is though, will the fangirls still go gagga when he's black and blue all over? I don't think Pitoo would take it sitting down. He's sooner knock Pit out five times over before that happens....

Whichever one wins, kinda loses when you think of it- the fangirls would swarm either of them like ants. The loser would be lucky- he's already unconscious. If there was any bruises and other injuries, the first place they'd end up would be the hospital.

Maybe, with the way they'd show up, covered in bruises and welts all over their faces, chests and arms.. It wouldn't be a pretty sight, that's for sure.... and there's not hot springs in most modern hospitals..

Only one thing I can think of, worse than that- the hospital food consisting of either eggplant or tempura (never had tempura myself, but I heard it's quite tasty)- after being turned into either, it would sour their appetites... assuming their jaws aren't too sore for solid foods. ..
