Description
What are you doing, Oliver? Even Tintin thinks you look like a fool.Β ΒAnd yes, I'm back! Exhausted, but alive. The steampunk festival was a lot of fun, but it killed my feet and train accidents made sure I almost didn't get home at all. So, yeah. It's good to be back. *sigh of relief*
Edit: Changed to a sharper image. dA made the first one seem blurry, which kind of sucked.

You're welcome, Raven and thank YOU, as well! Glad you enjoyed it
I wanted to make it longer -- see how long I could make it last, but I didn't want to seem like spamming. You know?
Good for you -- cats are awesome pets! My family and I have always been dog owners, but I've often pined for a couple of kitty cats I'm sure you'll have plenty more opportunities for adorable/funny snapshots!

Funny dialogue about my pictures is always welcome. It's so much for to see what others read into a picture so it's not just me seeing expressions in the cats' faces. So hey, spam away if you like!
My family had a dog when I was a baby, but my dad was sort of allergic so when the dog died we didn't have any other pets. As I got older I started to drag the neighbours' cats home with me though. Eventually it turned out that dad wasn't allergic to cats so I finally got one of my own. It was wonderful. I think I've always been a cat person, but dogs are lovely too.

OK, cool! I'll keep that in consideration the next time one of your photos inspires quirky dialogue out of me Actually, I think I may've just come up with another skit for this one, again! *ahem*....
>>Oliver: I'm telling you, dude, just lay on your back, spread your arms and legs as far as you can, then the belly rubs will instantlyΒ come to you. I guarantee it, man; these humans can't resist our exposed tummies!
>>Tintin: Eh-h-h-h-h....I don't know, Ollie. Doesn't it somehow seem kind of...cheap? I mean, shouldn't we rely on our masters' decision to reward with tummy rubs when we've, you know...earned it?
>>Oliver: PFFT! Whatever, bro. You do it your way, I'll do it mine. We'll just see who gets the most rubs at the end of the day. Just don't be jealous if I happen to be the center of attention hereΒ "meow!"
>>Tintin: (You're such a whore....)
Probably not as funny as the previous one, but I hope you get a chuckle out of it
Funny, my dad's allergic to cats that's why we could never own one. Also why we stuck with dogs for nearly twenty years, but I've always had a soft spot for kitty cats, too (so does my sister)

I like this one too! Β
Oliver always shows his belly as soon as he sees an opportunity to be petted so that first line could really be him.
Tintin loves belly rubs too, but he's not so fast to show his belly as Oliver.

Sometimes you can just tell a cat's personality by their actions I guess that's why it was so easy to whip up this dialogue! I've come across cats who are like that
Of course, I'm a sucker for that type of gesture
I'm always happy to rub any cat's tummy when they want it. Something tells me Oliver would enjoy my presence

RavenMontoya In reply to BeelzeRider [2014-07-04 21:32:25 +0000 UTC]
Oh, yes, I always try to pick photos where their personalities shine through in some way. That little something is necessary for it to become something a little bit more than "just" at cat in a photo, I think. I assume most people don't care, but it matters a lot to me.
Oliver would really enjoy that, yes. Β

That makes perfect sense to me makes for more entertaining photos! That's why cats are pretty much kings on the internet
As a cat person, you may enjoy this = youtu.be/5ywjpbThDpE Hopefully, you've seen the previous Batman movie to understand the parody being made If not, I'm sure you'll still get a kick out of it. Enjoy!

I've seen it before, yes. And Nolan's Batman movies.
I'm just amazed by that cat. Mine would freak if I tried to put that mask on any of them.

But he passed away last year, at an old age of 20 in human years. He and his brother are in peace now.

RavenMontoya In reply to kkunkitty [2014-07-03 09:54:56 +0000 UTC]
All my four cats tolerate it, but Tintin and Oliver absolutely loves it. Oliver can't get enough belly rubs.
I set out early to teach my cats that they should tolerate being touched everywhere when they were small kittens. I knew it would make things so much easier in the future, because cats that get to run around freely outdoors will sooner or later get injured and need some kind of care. It helps a lot if they're used to me handling them then. It worked out really well.

kkunkitty In reply to RavenMontoya [2014-07-03 16:58:53 +0000 UTC]
That's smart. The first kitten I got was feral so there was no way we were going to touch her like that. But now she's been tamed up and she's fat and lazy. But you have to listen to her when she doesn't want to be bothered or she'll scratch.

RavenMontoya In reply to kkunkitty [2014-07-03 18:32:01 +0000 UTC]
Aww, I can relate to that somewhat. My oldest cat from my current gang of four, Felix, was not very tame when I got him. I found him online and I really needed a new cat because by then my two old ones where getting sick and the garden and house were slowly being reclaimed by rats and mice.
Felix was a gamble. It turned out that his owner was a real hoarder. I don't know how she got to her front door with all the stuff that was in her house, but somehow she did. Her garden was a jungle of high grass and shrubs for the kittens to play in. So when we finally caught Felix and I took him home I quickly noticed that he was extremely afraid of open spaces. Probably because he'd never seen open spaces before!
He was so scared and sad and cried for his mother for three days. I felt so sorry for him.
Eventually it got a lot better, but it was a long journey for him. He was 16 week old when I got him so quite a big kitten. The window was closing fast if I was going to teach him all the stuff I thought a small kitten should know. For example, he didn't understand when I called for him or tried to give him food because the woman had never called her cats when she fed them so he had no idea that he should come running when I called. Basic knowledge like that just weren't there. He also peed in my bed. Why? Well, after a phone call I found out that the woman had kept the litter box beside her in her bed. Like... oookay. Β
But I managed. I dedicated about three weeks of training around the clock to "fixing" the cat and it paid off in the end. Felix is a very well behaved cat today, but he's still pretty nervous when it comes to new things and loud sounds. If he's stressed it's best to not touch his paws because he'll take a swing at the hand and growl, but it could be worse. He never bites and he's a big cuddle monster when he feels secure.

Well at least you got him all figured out. My cat doesn't like loud noises either. She will hiss at the landscapers when she hears them outside. Then she hides.

Felix growls at people walking by the house. Especially if he sits in a window on the second floor, way out of reach. I think it's kind of funny.
