However, the lines should be straight IMO. I wonder why the look like barrel distorted at 70 mm?

you're right, straight lines would indeed be better.
I don't think this is barrel distortion though... if I remember correctly the lines on the building themselves weren't perfectly straight. The weren't critical to the structure/stability of the building, but were simply thin panels of a plaster like material added to the outside of the building for aesthetic reasons. I did consider correcting the lines in Photoshop, but then decided against it.

I like your composition of these blocks of colour. The seemingly out of place "3"sign seems quite fitting, corresponds to the number of different colours in the image. The textures are also quite nice.
