Third in a series of Skittles art. First and Second .Also my first attempt at some sort of studio-esque work.

Absolutely delicious. How did you set up the lighting for this? It's controlled enough to put just the right amount of sheen where it needs to be, yet looks totally natural.

i wish i could cause it's not easy to take these kind of photos at home with limited equipiment

I just looked up your camera and noticed that you to do have a few White Balance settings options.
If that doesn't work, you could always just adjust the levels in Photoshop... essentially what you're trying to do is remove as much of the yellow as possible... so perhaps if auto levels doesn't give you the result you want, you could try to manually mess with the color balance.

Lots of colour and detail, enhanced with the lighting. Excellent work. I like the chipped yellow Skittle towards the bottom right corner.

I had actually been trying to turn over all the chipped skittles so that there was as little pale color as possible... but I guess I missed one... but I guess it has some appeal too.

What would've been neat is if there was a couple cracks on the glass, that being because of the "overflowing" of the skittles from the glass.

that's an excellent idea... I've come up with a bunch of other ideas that I only could conceive after seeing the images on the large screen... so I'll definitely being trying the Skittles concept/shoot again. I might try your idea as soon as i find myself a crappy glass to try and crack.
