Nice photo, and interesting use of illumination to emphasize the avocado root.

I don't know if my limited amount of patience would allow me to create such a perfectly centered scene. I'd probably take 400 shots and settle for one "perfect" one. It is very elegant.

I'm not patient as well. that day one thing lead to another and this came out pretty fast not wasting a second shot

frames are all good
the different ratios bring it all into the central composition nicely, I think!
making a darkroom was the best thing you ever did

maybe... but the extra one gives it the look of "art" and not only "product photography". Lovely tonality... and almost grain...

phew, glad to hear that
...it would be a ventured product photo with such an amount of off-space though!

beautifully intriguing image i do sort of feel that the very last and most outward frame is a tiny bit too much, but all in all it, works together and gives it a very dynamic and layered feel. great work

thank you
I wasn't sure about the outer frame neither, because it wasn't a picture element, but I simply love those original negative edges and couldn't resist.

Looks great. Looks kinda like a nose though on some crazy squarish face. BUt I like it. I love the quality of the bnw in this image.

hmm, a nose? there was a character called rastapopulus in the tintin et milou comics with such a nose
