If there was a word to describe Philip Seinfred as he fled the Empire, it would be "proud." He had never asked to need to flee, but his third cousin, that insufferable cretin Marcel, had decided it would be a simply marvelous idea if he tried to challenge the Emperor's own grandson to a duel in the name of his honor. It had ended before Marcel could so much as try to use his Stand, but that was no surprise. The blood of the Imperial family was strong, even if the present Emperor was forever hidden behind the Ruby Curtains.
In response, the entirety of the Seinfred family had been given their orders: Swear fealty to another family and renounce their name and all ties, or die as a Seinfred. Philip didn't particularly like either option, and so he took Maria, his favored concubine and the only love in his life, and fled to the stars. There wasn't much of a chase, and in all likelihood Philip took such things far more seriously than they needed to be taken. After all, he was unimportant in the political goings on of the Empire. A minor noble at best, but nevertheless a noble.
He had spent little time on choosing a destination, and only when they were already aboard the small corvette did he ask where they were going. The pilot simply chuckled and continued monitoring his readouts. "Aventura. You've probably heard of it. Little independent state on the border."
Oh, Philip had indeed heard of it. It had a reputation around the Imperial noble families. A shoddy place if ever there was one, they said. A haven of vagabonds and ruffians. He sighed and returned to his seat. It wasn't his ideal, but it was decidedly a place he'd never be found.

As it turned out, the Puerto Picaro Port Authority didn't seem to much care about the importance of the Seinfred name. Philip scowled as he looked about the spaceport. He didn't wish to be stuck here forever. "Maria, darling. You always were so skilled in subterfuge, could you be a dear and-"
"I've already acquired us some papers, dear." Maria smiled cheerfully at him, her fiery red hair accentuating the gleam of joy in her eyes at getting to put her skills to work.
With a grin and a kiss, Philip took the papers from her and examined them. "Where would I be without you?" Checking the names, birthdates, committing all the information to memory, he handed one of the documents to Maria and kept the other for himself. "Well, it isn't ideal, but it'll do. Did they happen to have any money?"
Maria simply shook her head. "No, I'm afraid not. No one seems to around here."
Sighing again, Philip returned to examining his new papers. He had no desire to live among the commonfolk. It was not in his blood, nor the blood of any Seinfred to live poorly. Ah, but he was no longer Philip Seinfred, how could he forget? He took one last look at the papers, then made his way to the exit and, hopefully, to a new life.
Ready yourself, Puerto Picaro, he thought to himself. Creighton and Melissa Ardorus have arrived.
