Description
That was the last we saw of them, walking away in the night. She had already acquired a sickly sweet smell, and how she may have looked some months down the line I fear we would never know.[I split the upper lip to try to make it look more canid, but now he looks a little bit like a rat man. Daaaamn it.]

Oh hey, one of my favorite lovecraft species! I really like the idea of a family living normally but eventually turning into ghouls. And over the generations they get a weird reputation. Great stuff!

(happy-sounding, wishful sigh) Aaawww, even ghouls can find love. How sweet.

I know it would be, as Shubby would say, "Spoilers"..., but I can't help wondering about this handsome gentleman's relation to Colette: Blood relative, friend, looser acquaintence, or mate?
Feel free to not answer or give cryptic riddles in reply.

I was trying to keep Frank's background a little mysterious, but he is related to the Pickman family.

Ghouls. Lovecraft seemed to think of them as the "friendliest" critters.

at least, they are in the Dream Quest of Unknown Kadeth
I still wouldn't have dinner with them, though

Just make sure you are sufficiently alive to stay off the menu, and you'll be fine. Cannibalism is a silly taboo invented by people before we knew enough about medicine and moral philosophy anyway. Soon, they will come and teach us new ways to enjoy ourselves...*evil grin*

Don't get me wrong, I love eating man-flesh
but I prefer my meat fresh, whereas the ghouls leave theirs in the ground for many a year, until harvest time

Yeah, and even they're decidedly quite neutral in many affairs; those worshipers of Mordiggian simply thank him for the food they receive as a gift from the living.

I don't know. It reminds me of a deer, somewhat. *amused*

Mindbleach? *holding a gallon of Mindbleach(tm)*
I'd really go for narrowing the lower jaw and making the nose ridge more horizontal to imitate canid feature. Don't be afraid to bring the chin back up and forwards to avoid lengthening the face downwards.

Quite a good result, once coloured. The brown colour of the ghoul underlines the canine look of the face. Still, perhaps adding a bit more of a muzzle look to the nose area (like to the original Wolfman, perhaps?) would add to the whole effect. The desiccated look fits quite well, and the slight white glare off the ghoul's skin suggest the rubbery texture/look describe in Pickman's Model.

Actually, I think parting the upper lip might work out pretty well...

To show the teeth and thus the extra canines, you mean? Perhaps. I just think that straightening the nose ridge in a more canine fashion would move it away from a rodent like look. Your call.
